Mark McGwire Confesses to Steroid Use

The man with “Popeye” arms who hit 70 home runs in a single season has confessed to using steroids and other performance enhancing drugs. We know Popeye got his arms by eating a lot of spinach and Mark McGwire got his by taking steroids. Many want to know why he has chose to confess now and admit his association with steroids. It’s not clear right now why McGwire came out and confessed his sins, but if we have learned anything about baseball players in recent years, you can bet there is some form of greed behind his admittance to taking steroids.

I’m sure this new attention on steroids and Tiger Wood’s being in the news a lot lately, we may finally learn that Tiger Woods was also using steroids and his PGA championships seem a little gray right now. More needs to be done on Tiger Wood’s accomplishments in golf and an investigation would probably reveal that Tiger and others used performance enhancing drugs on the golf course.

Do you agree or disagree with Mark McGwire’s new confession that he used steroids to help him play better and recover from injuries faster; while he was an active MLB player? I haven’t made up my mind yet, but I’m sure his new revelation comes with something he hopes to accomplish or achieve by confessing his faults to the world.

If you’re a baseball fan, are you still mad at the last time these over paid cry babies went on strike? I know many have still not came back to watching baseball; since the last MLB strike took place. Or did you stop watching baseball after we learned half the players were using performance enhancing drugs to put up those amazing statistics? They say this is a soar subject for baseball players cause some of them did not use steroids. I find that funny and these guys are barking up the wrong sympathy tree. It’s the fans that got screwed and they are the ones that have been cheated. For all the guys in baseball that think steroids is a soar subject, our frustrations go back further than that. We have had to do without baseball because we see you guys fighting over millions of dollars and the average working baseball fan will not even make 1 million in their lifetime. Until MLB and the baseball players learn this isn’t about them anymore and it’s about the fans, they will continue to build this path toward destruction.

Major League Baseball is holding on by a thin thread now and unless the playing field levels out soon, baseball will no longer exist in America they way we know it today. The latest news on Mark McGwire will prove that fans won’t be showing up at the ball park this spring. Some fans were given these players the benefit of doubt and now they know for a fact that McGwire was using and this will affect ticket sales across all MLB parks this upcoming season.
