Simple things are worth blogging about

A small web-based business can make all of the right decisions in the beginning. Buying their own servers to host their company website is a good move. This is something some small or medium size businesses can’t do or afford to do. For the ones that do bring in their own servers, they have a lot of freedom and choices they get to make. These early days can be smooth sailing and not a cloud in sight. However, if these company owned servers start to create limits for their web hosting abilities, the seas can begin to get choppy, for the owners that need to conduct business online. If your small business is currently facing these issues, no need to panic, there is help out there. A colocation plan, from a company that specializes in this field, can get your servers back up to performing with no more of these limits you have now.
These places have all of the latest technology and they can keep your servers in their high-tech rooms. They have plenty of power and backup supplies of power to insure your company’s server has a non stop source of juice. This is almost like owning a few pieces of gold that you love and treasure very dearly. Now imagine sending your gold off to Fort Knox in Kentucky to be kept and looked after there. The ability to relieve these worries you have now of power outages and proper temperatures can be taken away and left for a company that babysits servers for a living.
I know I have seen my share of companies that struggle when they first come online. A lot of these mistakes get made because people fail to realize the power of the Internet. I know enough stuff now, that I would begin my online business with dedicated servers. I have seen new websites go down, because they got too much traffic and their current plans couldn’t handle it. Once these webmasters find a way to get back online, it seems they all say the same thing, “I will have to get a dedicated server to prevent this from happening again“.
I have two normal hosting accounts online. I have 6 different websites on these two accounts, that individuals typically get for their own personal websites. I’m still in the process of obtaining tips and learning new things with small business sites and how managed hosting works. I hope my success grows online to the point, I will need a dedicated server or will be deciding to ship my server to a company for housing or not. My small business isn’t there yet, but yours may be, so be aware of these companies that will take your company server and keep it up and running for you.
