I am a long ways from being called an “computer expert” and something as simple as PDF is something that is over my head. I do have a program on my computer that helps me to read certain documents and you do have to have something that can read PDF files or the way a certain program is formated.

The program I use is the adobe pdf and this is the most commonly program I see for reading PDF files. They may be others out there or Adobe may be the only one. I’m just not sure, but I do know most computer users need a PDF program to read certain files. The version that Adobe provides does work on Apple, Linux, or Windows. I have Windows on my computer and the Adobe is very compatible with it and easy to use.

If you have found a file in the past that you couldn’t read and needed a special program to open it; then chances are the Adobe one would work for you. You can find various places online to get a pdf reader and if you haven’t got one yet; then I do suggest adding this valuable program to your computer system.

I did a search on “pdf” and seen that Wikipedia has some good information on this subject. The letters P-D-F stand for Portable Document Format and I have used my Adobe program to read dozens of files that my computer would not recognize. Chances are you have done the same if you spend a lot of time surfing around on the World Wide Web. For those that like to print information online, you can be asking a lot of your printers to print everything you see on your screens. You save a lot of printer ink by just printing out the pdf print and not including a lot of the fancy graphics or pictures you don’t need. My printer is super fast when I just print a page that can be opened in pdf format. Something like a food recipe is perfect for printing in the pdf version; rather than getting a lot of other information that you don’t really need.

PDF may seem as foreign to you as it is to me. I do know that it’s a part of the Internet and something everyone should brush up on. It is easy to learn about pdf and I saw lots of information online about it. It’s nothing to be scared about and if you get that Adobe program on your computer; you will see just how easy it is to read these pdf documents.
