Joanne Kathleen
Many people may not know the name Joanne Kathleen, but they do know this person. She is better known as J.K. Rowling and her claim to fame is the story about a boy wizard and his adventures. It was many years ago, when a young Joanne Kathleen was riding a train from Manchester, England to the capital city in London. It was on this train that sparked an idea to create a story about a boy named Harry. This wouldn’t be a normal boy, but a boy who was a wizard. Once the train ride was over, it wasn’t like Ms. Kathleen ran to a notebook and this famous story came to life. The creation would take many years later to come about, since Joanne was having to work as a teacher and didn’t have a lot of free time to write about this little boy named Harry.
Eventually things would work out and the story of Harry Potter was created. Even after the story of Harry Potter had been written, there was still publishers in England that was turning down this bright, young author. Finally a publishing company in the U.K. did buy the rights to Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling in 1997. A year later in 1998, the story would come to America and it didn’t take long for Joanne Kathleen to have enough money, so she could quit teaching and begin a series of books featuring the boy wizard named Harry Potter.
You can look online today and see some book website or a website selling movies that will have a sale on Harry Potter books, movies, and other related merchandise. All over the world, parents have been taking their kids to watch Harry Potter at the movies or buying each new book that gets written by J.K. Rowling (author of Harry Potter books).
For the kids which may still be too young to read these great books, parents do have the option of getting Harry Potter movies or the CD’s that feature the boy wizard. I think getting Harry Potter on Audio CD is the best way for these kids to learn about Harry Potter. One of these audio CD’s is a great thing to put on at bedtime each night. Your children can drift off to sleep; while listening to Harry and his friend’s adventures in this great series that is loved by kids world wide. Leaving the TV on all night produces too much light for sleeping and limits the imagination Harry Potter can create. Listening to Harry Potter on an audio compact disc, will force your child to create these adventures in their mind and develop those thinking skills early. Keep this in mind, before you buy the next Harry Potter movie.
