The NBA Championship might have been won in Central Florida; when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic Sunday night, but the residents in L.A. took to the streets. They were all celebrating the championship of their favorite NBA basketball team, but it seems things got a little out of hand. At least 2 dozen people were arrested from the celebration that took to the streets near Staples Arena where the Lakers play basketball.

I was actually rooting for both teams to win the title this year in the NBA. I fell in love with the Magic when they were able to beat the Boston Celtics and the over rated Cleveland Cavaliers. I know LeBron James is a one man show in Cleveland and he’s a show-off too. He doesn’t care about team basketball or playing a team style game and this is why the Orlando Magic beat them. Orlando plays great team basketball and they did well against the teams from the East.

The Lakers are great because they have my favorite NBA player Kobe Bryant. Once again Kobe shows the world why he is the best player on the planet and there isn’t anyone in the NBA close to him right now. He has been given a little help out there in California now and I guess it shows with their latest NBA title. I’m glad to see Kobe win a championship without Shaquille O’Neal and every team in the NBA should be trying to get this guy on their team. That might sound like a stupid statement, but I’m being really serious. Offering 2 or 3 first round draft picks and a couple of your best players is not enough for Kobe Bryant. Even at his age now, I would trade any 3 players on my roster and throw in 7 first round draft picks, if the Lakers would give me Kobe Bryant. He’s the best basketball player the world has ever seen and I’m glad I got the chance to see him play. I am also glad I got to see the 2nd best basketball player play too and that is Michael Jordan. MJ might have had a better theatrical career than Kobe Bryant to this point with his game winning shots and consecutive championships, but there is no doubt that Kobe Bryant is a better basketball player than Michael Jordan or anyone else currently in the NBA.
