It’s sad to see a loved one pass away from this life. I believe if some of my relatives were still living, that did die over the last decade or so, I would have less clothes in my wardrobe. It seems funerals or going to the funeral home to visit and pay may respects, is a good reason for me to go shopping. I usually do visit a shopping center to look for new men’s clothing when someone I know has left this world. There is really no other times in my daily, weekly, or monthly routines; in which I set aside time and money to go shopping for new clothes. If my kin folks stop dying, I will probably run out of clothes to wear. I have about 5 pairs of jeans now, that I rotate around and just wear them. I probably have a dozen or more T-shirts I wear with my pants. I rarely wear dress pants out. I do wish my wardrobe was a little more upscale and I could wear nicer clothes. Unless I start going to a lot more funerals this year, it looks like these old jeans I have now, will have to last me for a while longer.

The shark attacks that keep making the news is a result of them coming closer to our shorelines. Now the rice that gets prepared by a hibachi chef comes to life and this is just as good as your main menu selection. I think most people choose a steak or chicken to order with their hibachi dinners. The main dish is good too and the rice these hibachi chefs prepare with it, is just as good too. Later that night or the next day, it will be the rice that I crave more than anything from the hibachi dinner I just ate. I will usually go with the steak or filet mignon. Seafood lovers might try something from the ocean for the hibachi chef to stir around on his hot-top stove. Regardless if you choose the steak, filet Mignon, chicken, or even a nice lobster or shrimp to nibble on, you’re going to get the mixed vegetables, probably a soup containing a mushroom or two, and that awesome Japanese fried rice!

Now the hibachi dinner mostly means that a certified chef skilled in the art of Japanese cooking, will come to your table and prepare your meal for everyone at the table to see. It’s a treat for everyone to watch and the kids like this part too. The younger folks may not appreciate the food as much as the adults, but you can rest assure the entertainment will be 2nd to none. The food from hibachi dinners may be a bit of an acquired taste. I know the first time I tried eating a hibachi dinner, I thought it was just descent. The more times I went, the more I liked it and the more new places I wanted to try.

The bad news is the price tag. It’s not too cheap to eat this great food and not idea for the average family to go out and eat nightly or even once a week. Maybe your family can afford to eat this way once a month and that’s certainly worth saving up for, if you can find it in the monthly budget for a hibachi dinner monthly. Avoid eating the actual dinner hours or in the evenings after 3 or 4 pm. Try to locate a Japanese restaurant close to your area; that will serve lunches around the noon hour. Eating at these hours can save you and the family a few dollars and you still get a lot of food and will probably need a take out plate, to take your leftovers home. This food warms up real good in the microwave and it may even be a little better; than eating it at the restaurant.

If you don’t like Chinese food, there is still hope you will like the Japanese version. This food is similar to the menu items you can get from the Chinese restaurants. However, it’s much different in the way it is prepared and in the way it tastes. I could understand someone not liking Japanese or Chinese food. I have yet to meet someone that loves Chinese food, but hates the Japanese food. If you do like Chinese restaurants, but haven’t tried one of the great-tasting hibachi dinners from a Japanese restaurant. You will have to start making plans now to eat at one in the near future. An evening meal may cost around $18 to $30; while the lunch time specials at Japanese restaurants will usually run about $9 to $15 in most cases. Give the lunch hours a try for the best prices and be sure you choose the hibachi dinner.

How does your favorite NBA Team look right now? Are they playoff bound this weekend? Or are they headed to the draft board to see how high they can finish in the NBA Draft Lottery? I know this lottery to determine the top selections in this summer’s NBA Draft for teams who not in the post season, will be televised during one of the later playoff games at halftime. At least this has been the pattern for the last several years. It probably helps to draw-in a bigger audience, since you have two NBA team’s fans watching this basketball lottery and their team obviously is not in it. Teams do trade draft picks in the NBA and some playoff teams could own another team’s lottery ball and get a chance in the lottery. I have spent a lot of years watching those lottery balls (even though the actual lottery is not shown live or even on TV for that manner). I’m glad this is a playoff year for us, just like I was last year, and the year before that too. Making the playoffs 3 straight years in a row is something we are proud of and gives us something to hang our hat on.

Now the electricity in the NBA Arenas for playoff basketball is unreal. Everything slows down in the playoffs and each possession is so important for each team. You know your competition has some game or they wouldn’t be matched up against you in the NBA post season. A team turning the ball over and wasting these valuable possessions; may not have lasting memories of the 2010 NBA Playoffs. A champion has to start somewhere and for me, I hope its my NBA team that starts that path this weekend. First goal all NBA playoff teams have is to win Game 1. You got to find a way to get the first punch in and it gets so much easier with each additional win.

My local NBA team; which is my favorite NBA team does have all the pieces to win the Championship. They just haven’t figured out how to play team basketball and winning all the small battles that take place within a NBA game. They are coached to win games in the 4th quarter and winning the game is all they strive for. True champions don’t get made this way. It’s a effort that starts from day 1 or from the previous seasons. Winning that next game is not important. In fact, it’s the last thing in the world you should worry about. Learning to play a style of championship basketball takes practice, hard work, and never taking your foot off of the gas pedal. I mean never! When you do stop to take a break or decide your going to take this night off. There is someone out there that didn’t rest that night. This person just gained ground on you or if they were already pass you, then they just went ahead further. My NBA team has been horrible for a decade and in all of these years to build it up, they had a chance to create this winning formula. The current coach had his chance to mold the most talented team in the league and he has failed to do it. His lack of vision to see beyond the next game on the schedule and deciding to pre award players with minutes on a nightly basis is the reason we will not win the championship this year.

I know my team will lose in the 2010 basketball playoffs. Maybe they can make it to the Conference Championship Game or perhaps even to the NBA Finals, but at some point they will fall. They’re not mentally strong on the court. Something goes wrong for most of them, they get upset and complain. They begin to pout and the frustrations just keep building. What makes it even worse, the coach is right beside them and he will complain and starting pouting just like the players. But what could you expect from a coach that gives evil looks and pouts when his own players mess up on the court. He never has tried to be a motivator in a losing effort. He just saves the motivational speeches and pep talks for close games and the ones they win. He won’t even stand up on the sidelines, if the score is too far in favor of the opponent. He’s only after winning that game he sees today. He refuses to use the time now to prepare for the games of tomorrow and this is the reason why my NBA team has no hope for tomorrow.
