From what I have been hearing lately, the Atlanta metropolitan area of my home state of Georgia, has a lot of drug problems. The need for an Atlanta Drug Rehab facility is very much needed and there are a few scattered out around the Atlanta, Georgia area. 

There is a long list of different drugs, the folks in Atlanta are addicted to. One of the most common drugs for addiction in Atlanta is Vicodin. This is a very strong pain pill; which can only be prescribed by a doctor. Your doctor in most cases will only allow you to take 1 pill every 4 to 6 hours, but in rare cases and if the pain is too bad, a 2nd pill is sometimes allowed. After 6 hours have passed and you don’t feel any more pains, there is no need to take a 2nd Vicodin pill. Only take Vicodin pain pills as needed for pain and don’t finish off the whole bottle, if you don’t need it. Taking those extra Vicodin pills, when it is not necessary, is what gets people in trouble and before they or the doctor know it, the patient has become addicted to these strong pain pills. If this happens, the patient will need to seek professional drug help, at a Atlanta Addiction Treatment center.

I was curious to know what type of label warnings was on a bottle of Vicodin. I know drug stores will put several little stickers on a bottle of prescription pills for various warnings. Like for instance, don’t mix this with alcohol, that is a common warning for a lot of medicines from the drug store. I went to our medicine cabinet at home, to see if I could find any Vicodin and to see what the drug store pharmacist had attached to the bottle. We have a few dozen bottles of prescription pills at my house, so I felt pretty confident we would have a bottle of Vicodin. Well to my surprise we didn’t have any name brand Vicodin, but there was 2 bottles for hydrocodone. This is a generic pain pill for Vicodin and works the same way, just for a cheaper price. I’m not really sure the dose ranges for Vicodin, but the two bottles of hydrocodone we have, are listed in two different strengths. Both are a combination pain pill. Acetaminophen (generic Tylenol) is one ingredient; which is a mild pain reliever. While also containing a certain milligram (MG) of the strong pain reliever hydrocodone. We have one that appears to be 5 MG of hydrocone and the other is 10 MG of hydrocodone. No chance in confusing the two, the 5 MG is a white pill and looks like most aspirin; while the 10 MG strength of generic Vicdoin is a pretty shade of blue.

These generic versions that go by the name hydrocodone is addictive too; just like the name brand drug that goes by the popular name of Vicodin. I was unable to see any warning stickers on either bottle for addiction problems. This doesn’t mean the drug stores don’t put them on the bottles. Since Vicodin and other pain pills are addictive to take, I’m sure the pharmacies put something on each bottle to show this. If they don’t provide a sticker for addictive abuse problems, then this is one area we could start with; when it comes to combating the problems of prescription pill abuse.

Atlanta, GA is not the only area in America we have drug problems. Most major cities, if not all U.S. major cities have some form of drug problems and drug abuse. You don’t have to study the Drug Addiction Statistics long to see that. I wish our only drug problem was with Vicodin pain pills. Fox Sports and their advertisers need to listen up. The executives at Fox sports is trying to over-charge sports fans for their favorite sports games. Due to the greed going over at Fox Sports; who try to demand a 50% rate increase for their sports channels. This is crazy! Times are not as good as they were a few years ago. This country is going through some hard time financially and as Americans we need to ban together so our way of living can continue. Sports is only entertainment and a way for people to escape for a few hours on the weekend or through the week from their hectic lives. Now is not the time to be demanding more money for your services; which aren’t always up and running.

As an avid sports fan, I can tell you there are more audio and visual problems with Fox Sports than any other sports channel on television today. I get upset a lot that Fox Sports have all these technical issues and it really gets old seeing them coming from the same sports network over and over again. Now for their crappy service and unable to provide sports fans with the full video and audio effects of a lot of their sports programming, they want a rate hike of over 50% from every Dish Network subscriber? This is ridiculous and its time more of us stand up for our right like the people at Dish Network are doing.

I am calling for an all-out ban on any advertiser who decides to advertise on Fox Sports. Actually, I think we should take this one step further. While Fox News and Fox Business are not part of the ban on Dish Network’s side of things, I think we need to send a message to the whole Fox community of TV channels. Any advertiser who decides to advertise their products or services on any channel of Fox, I say we stop using their products or services. Even if Dish Network and Fox Sports reach an agreement, our ban on Fox TV commercials will extend for the next year. So for 1 year, any commercial you see on any Fox TV station, please don’t use or buy their product any more. I encourage all advertisers to stop using Fox TV for any promotional advertising. The people from Fox Sports are trying to take money out of our pockets for their programming and they decide to do it during these hard economical times.

We should not be placing judgment on the people from Dish Network. We should put the blame on those directly responsible and that is for the President, CEO, and other high-level executives from the Fox Sports channels. While 80% of most families will not have a problem with this modern measure the school systems are taking, it’s the other 20% I have concerns for. This means 1 out of every 5 students currently going to a elementary, middle, or high school does not have the ability to connect with the World Wide Web.

School systems can’t expect all families to be able to afford computers for their children. The schools are causing for students to be isolated, who don’t have a computer at home they can go home and surf the Net on. For the kids who do have access to home computers, they learn a lot more faster from computers; than the other kids who don’t have a computer at home.

I know in the perfect world, we would have a Mom or a Dad who comes home each evening from work and would spend hours and hours with their children on the computer. They would teach them how to type and how to navigate the Web by using online search engines. Yes, this would be a world we could all dream about living in one day. The problem we have now, is this perfect world doesn’t exist. Some parents both work full-time jobs or we have a single parent trying to raise more than 1 kid at home. In many cases, these families are struggling to just provide the basics like clothing, shelter, and food. It is ridiculous for any school to send homework out and the only way to get it properly done, is by using a computer at home.

Why Don’t Schools Buy Computers for All Students?

So why don’t schools just buy a computer for every student? They don’t have to take them home, just home enough computers to go around for each and every student. Oh, I know what the answer to this one is. Schools can not a buy a computer for every student, because this would cost too much money. Well doesn’t that sound familiar. Schools don’t have the funds to give every child in their school systems computers and this is true for parents too. They don’t have enough money to provide a computer, Internet service, and any other costs related to maintaining a working computer at home. If schools can’t afford a computers for all students; then why in the world would they ask parents to do this? School systems just don’t respect the working family and don’t care about the 20% percent of children who can’t afford a home computer. They just want to improve test scores and provide the best education possible to 80% of their students and they don’t care to let the other 20% of students without a home computer to fall through the cracks. Education in this country will never get better unless we give the same opportunities to 100% of our kids in school.

When we hear stories about a person killing somebody by drinking and driving or hear about a senseless murder where a kid with a bad past and labeled as a trouble kid; just goes out and abruptly ends the life of a straight A student or one who was almost a college graduate. This is because school systems and school teaches allowed for these students to slip between the crack and gave too much attention to the smarter or wealthier kids in class. Our troubles with violence in this country can go back to the education system in most cases and the number of smart and wealthy kids are a lot lower than 20 percent and it’s the 20 percent number of students, who don’t have access to the Net at home. Let’s end this deadly sense of poor educational focus and let’s get back to treating our students equal across the board.

These computers often have employees using the keyboards on them, who have the black-looking hands that have been stained in oil and grease. I doubt the keyboards ever last too long in the car garages, but these hard-working mechanics do find good ways to secure their computers. In some cases, they might even be bolted down, so no monitors or towers have to hit the hard concrete floors; which would instantly destroy a computer. All companies have to do something to provide protection for their computers. The guys at the garage really have to protect their computers; much like women protecting their weight on the scales.

I really love to visit websites, where they are ranking certain groups or people in a certain order. You see this in sports a lot and especially at the professional level. The NFL Rankings or National Football League Rankings are popular with their fans. Each week you can visit a number of different websites; which will list the top 32 teams in order, according to their power rankings. These rankings aren’t always awarded by the team’s record. A football team in a lot of close ball games, but yet has a losing record, can still be ranked higher than you would expect.

Obviously for webmasters, there is only one ranking they care about. No other online rankings can compare to the one Google does for online websites. A lot of money gets paid out and Internet visitors get directed, by the all powerful Google Rankings or PR (page ranking) they provide for free online. Yes, I think its safe to say that Google is the king of ranking, at least for website owners.

There are rankings for just about everything online and somebody is probably putting a ranking together as you read this blog post now. The websites with the lists of cars or has Charts for Movies are often getting ranked by webmasters. I know the bloggers online like to write up blog posts and rank a variety of things in order; according to their personal views on a certain subject or how they interpret a specific topic. It can be just as much fun creating these rankings as it is to read them on someone else’s web page.

I know for people living in America, we always think about the Asian countries being smarter than us. Especially when it comes to China and Japan and how their mathematics are so much higher than ours. I have always heard about the janitors in China knowing how to do calculus; which was a result of their educational levels in math. Well to my surprise, I saw a rankings online recently with colleges and it featured colleges from all over the world and their level of math skills. Believe it or not, the prestigious Harvard College was 3rd on the list. There was actually 2 American colleges that were ranked higher than Harvard. Can you guess which two they were? Six American colleges made up the top 10 in math; while the U.K. and France both had two colleges in the top 10. You have to go down to number 22 on the list to see a 4th country (Russia) and it’s not a Chinese or Japanese college either. In fact, Japan was the top college over China on the list and their college for mathematics was ranked 33rd overall. China got their name on the list in the 51-76 grouping. The Atkins diet is one of the most popular diet plans in the World. One reason that makes the Atkins diet so well-known, is because it works. A lot of people invent and come up with new exercises and low calorie foods everyday, in the hopes it will help people lose more weight. A lot of these exercise plans and diet foods never last for very long, because they don’t provide fast results or any results at all, for those who try them. There will come a time for every homeowner to redo certain rooms in their house. The most common rooms we like to do full-makeovers on, is our kitchen and bathrooms. A new sink and medicine cabinet is a couple of the changes you will need to make, if you plan to do a full-makeover for the bathroom. If you plan to redo more than one bathroom in the house, make sure you completely finish one, before starting-in on the other bathroom. This way the 2nd bathroom makeover can benefit from all the mistakes and things you learned on the first makeover.

Doing a little bit of online research and price comparisons from your computer, can help with the modern choices than are available to home owners these days.
