Simple things are worth blogging about
26 May
It’s been a long and dry season for many parts of the southern U.S., but Mother Nature is making up for it now. The rains have finally arrived and they’re coming down in buckets now. It would be nice to see these showers in July and August, but I’m sure gardeners will take it now. Most crops and plants are just now starting to grow well and these rain showers will help them shoot straight up. An Indoor Planter or Outside Planter has been the best way to get things growing over these dry spells. Planters are a good way to control your own moisture and you don’t have to depend on the weather; if you water your plants regularly. The people that do all their planting in the yard and gardens will have to keep a water hose handy in case Mother Nature does turn off the spouts for a period of time. Everyone should try to think of other ways to plant their flowers and vegetables, since rain has been a hard thing to find lately.
It looks like the current weather system is going to be here for a long time. No relief in sight and each day this week we should see the lawns getting a good shower daily. This is great news for the farmers out there and hopefully the grounds will soak up a lot of this extra water and retain it for later. A Window Box Planter may not be getting too much water from the skies, if it’s blocked off from the rains, so you may still need to throw a little extra water on them.
You can rely on other methods of planting when Mother Nature is not being kind to us. The planters are a great way to control things and they are available in a variety of choices. You have your simple pots or plain planters you can grow flowers or vegetables in or get some of the nicer ones available. The Decorative Planters are really nice and you would want to display these where people could see them. No sense in spending the extra money for the High End Planters if people are not going to see them. These types of planters touch off a home or yard really great. You also have the same advantages with controlling the water or moisture content of the soil like you do with your other standard planters. Let’s just enjoy the rainy days for now and hope they continue to last for all of us that like to get our hands dirty every now and then. Don’t forget to bring me some of those fresh vegetables; when they start growing in your Garden Planter this summer.
