There isn’t anyhing better than eating a piece of fresh fish that has been prepared perfectly on the grill. I like mahi mahi, amberjack, or tilapia cooked on the grill. Once you get your fish cooked just right on the grill, squeezing a little lemon juice from a freshly cut lemon is the icing on the cake. Only this cake was once swimming in the ocean and the icing is lemon juice. I know some people like to squirt a little lemon juice on fried fish that has been breaded. I don’t think that is a good idea and really isn’t that good of a combination when it’s been prepared like that. Catfish that you bread and then fry wasn’t meant for lemon juice or at least that is the way I look at it. I think the fish must be grilled and it tastes so much better on the white fish that doesn’t have a strong fish taste to them. The mahi mahi fish has a very soft taste for a saltwater fish and chef’s love to cook with mahi mahi. A chef can be more creative with a fish that doesn’t have a strong flavor and they have the opportunity to give it the flavor they want. I don’t think you really have to get fancy with it. Just a nice slice or two from a lemon and squirting the juices from it is all you really need on grilled mahi mahi or a nice piece of amberjack that has been grilled to perfection.

I know our local Red Lobster doesn’t get a lot of choices on their fresh fish menu. Living so far from Atlanta and up in the mountains of North Georgia, I guess it makes it tough on them to get fresh fish in daily. Their menu is often limited at our Red Lobster in Canton, Georgia. If you travel down the road about 20 minutes to the Red Lobster around Town Center Mall, you can usually find more selections on the menu. I like eating seafood in general, but I love the fresh fish the best. The all-you-can eat seafood restaurants are great, because you get a chance to sample everything and most people don’t get a chance to eat seafood often and like to try what’s available.

People that love their crab legs will travel many miles to find a restaurant offering fresh crab legs on the menu. There is a restaurant called Simply Southern in Cherokee County and you can find them located in Free Home, right off highway 20 just a few miles pass the 4 way intersection in Macedonia. I think Simply Southern has some pretty good food, but I’m not that big of a crab legs eater. I know a lot of people brag on their crab legs, so they must be good there. They use to have all-you-can eat crab legs every Saturday night at Simply Southern and I’m not sure if that special still exists or not. I know the place would be packed and most would be going there to eat, due to the crab legs. I’m sure they are other seafood restaurants located around Canton, Georgia or in the North Georgia area that serves crab legs too. It seems like you can order them at Hooters restaurant, but they are not all-you-can eat there. If you know of a restaurant in the North Georgia area or some where around the Atlanta metro area that serves good crab legs; then please let me know. I might just surprise my friends one night and take them there. As for me, just give me a nice piece of fresh fish and don’t forget to bring me some lemons!
