I like watching the auctions that come on television that I get from my satellite dish. They have all kinds of auctions on television these days and I guess with the success of some of the popular online auctions that are on the computer today, it has spilled over to the television screens.
I saw a jewelry auction on the other night and many of the prices were very high. Some of the individual pieces of jewelry they were selling; were bringing in a king’s ransom. I saw some of their rings for women selling for as much as a car. I don’t have money like that to bid on their jewelry items, but they were some nice gold bracelets that I could afford. I saw one or two that I might have been the winning bidder for, because I would have been willing to pay more for what the items sold for.
Now the sports cards, coins, and other collectible auctions they have on television I enjoy watching a lot. I love to buy things that I think will increase in value and it’s made me more aware of things like coins and antiques. I have thousands of sports cards, some coins that probably hold a little value, and I’m not sure what my antiques are worth that I have. I do try to tune in and watch these auctions and see if I can find a great bargain. I think in most cases your better off at your local auctions that they might have in your hometown every weekend. These auctions have fewer buyers and you are more out to find a better bargain. On television you might be competing against thousands of people that want the same item you are. Jewelry is a great buy and is something that holds its value well. So finding a gold bracelet, a nice antique watch, or any other piece of jewelry that you might like, is a great buy if you want something for investment purposes. Let me know if you have ever found a special bargain online, television, or your local weekend auction house.Click here for reuse options!
