A TV show that has withstood the test of time over the last 7 years has been the Gilmore Girls. It originally came on the WB Network and it’s debut was in 2000. The 7th season was completed in 2007 and I’m not sure if there is an 8th season of the Gilmore Girls or not? I ran across the 6th season of the Gilmore Girls at Buy.com, which they are currently selling for about $25 (cheap). I’m not sure if you’re a fan of the show or not, but I have watched a few episodes here and there. It is a pretty good program and I can understand why so many people like to watch the Gilmore Girls.

Now did you think the Gilmore Girls were sisters? Are you aware of their relationship and how they know each other? If you just tuned in and starting watching the Gilmore Girls, you would think they’re are sisters, neighbors, or just best friends. Actually it is a mother and daughter relationship they have, but it’s not the typical mother and daughter relationship. They do act like they are sisters and it could be a little confusing for someone that hasn’t never seen the show before.

The mother is Lorelai Gilmore who is played by actress Lauren Graham. Alexis Bledel is the one who plays the daughter named Rory on the Gilmore Girls. Rory Gilmore is the main focus and it’s her character that the show revolves around. You probably know this already if you have watched an episode or two of the Gilmore Girls.

I was aware that they did do a 7th season of the show, but I don’t know if they did an 8th season? Perhaps you can reply and let me know if you know the answer to any future seasons of the Gilmore Girls. Most TV shows fail in their first year or have trouble keeping a fan base beyond the original season. If a TV show is able to stay on the air for 3 seasons; then chances are they have something working for them. The Gilmore Girls doing at least 7 seasons shows that the magic between Lorelai and Rory is working and people want to see what this mom and daughter are up to. It is a clean show based on today’s standards. A few adult or grown-up moments do take place as we’re watching Rory grow up, but it’s done in a tasteful and parent approving way. Any parents that let their kids or teens watch the Simpsons or MTV would have no problems with them watching the Gilmore Girls.

So if you wasn’t aware of these two being a mom (Lorelai) and daughter (Rory) now you know. The Gilmore Girls are not sisters, but they do act like sisters or best friends on the show. You can buy the Gilmore Girls season by season online. You should be able to find a good sale on their first 6 seasons. The 7th season might be a little too high to buy right now, but if you don’t mind waiting, you should be able to pick it up pretty cheap in a year or two from now.
