Simple things are worth blogging about

It doesn’t matter which political party holds the White House or which man is known as the President of the United States of America when it comes to oil and gas prices. Once again we see the prices soaring at the pumps and no relief in site. I’m not sure how a society can function with high fuel costs and no jobs. I guess 3rd world nations do it all the time and it looks like we are heading in that direction. No money or pay checks being cashed on Fridays is a big problem this country is facing right now. The fact that oil prices can jump in a blink of an eye is even more reason for concern these days. No one seems to be driving less and this isn’t good either. If we aren’t getting money, but need more money to fill up our cars for travel, then something is going to have to break some where. I’m not sure where these breaks will occur but people seem to be set on driving just as much, no matter what the costs are. We must drive less and spend less at the pump, when we do see gas prices rising. Just a little bit here and there from everyone adds up to big numbers nation wide. It’s time to put on the brakes and let’s cut down on our driving right now, until we can see lower gas prices at the pump.
Chevron is the number 1 buyer of foreign oils and this is one gas station you don’t want to stop at these days. Buying Chevron gas hurts our country and pocket books more than any other gas station you could stop at these days. Let’s start making the right steps here and drive less as a society when oil prices are high and don’t buy gas from the service stations that rely on foreign oils. No more Chevron gas for me and I will just drive to the next station to fill up. Other gas stations are to blame too, but Rome wasn’t built in a day and we can’t solve high gas prices overnight. Let’s go for the head of the monster first and this is Chevron and no one should be buying gas at a Chevron station. If your tank is close to empty and you need gas fast; then use Chevron if it’s the closest station to you. Just add 1 or 2 dollars to the tank and then drive to the next gas station to fill up. I know this takes a little effort and isn’t convenient to do, but if we all make these small efforts, then it will show up on the big map. The big map is the price we pay per gallon at the pump!
If you want to see gas prices lower; then just follow these 2 steps immediately!
1. Drive Less (not forever, just until regular gas goes below $2.25 a gallon for regular)
2. Don’t Buy Chevron Gas (largest buyer of oil over seas)
When most people think of car covers they think of just that…cars. However, there are plenty of people in need of truck covers, SUV covers, and even motorcycle covers. Are those people just out of luck? Nope. With Empire Covers you can get a cover for just about any type of vehicle, from cars to trucks, SUVs, and even boats and ATVs. No matter your vehicle cover needs, Empire Covers has something to fit them. Check out their selection online today and I’m sure you’ll be ordering from them in no time.
Just these two things will lower our cost at the pumps and we can set our own gas prices. Oil isn’t going to be around forever, but in 2009 we should be spending less than $2.25 a gallon for regular gas and under $2.50 a gallon for the highest octane choice your service station offers.
