Someone mixing colors together in a factory (most likely) is where we get some of the nicest and boldest colors I have ever seen. You can really see the modern color change best, when you look at a light blue guitar. I really like the color of blue, but the pretty blue Charvel Guitars are awesome looking. I don’t know how to describe the exact colors I am seeing, so I don’t know the real color of blue. Royal blue or navy blue both sounds like a dark shade of blue and I doubt either one of these colors is the one I am referring to. I am not sure what metallic blue looks like or some of the other shades of blue. I just know the Charvel guys have a beautiful blue guitar and I would love to have it. I don’t play the guitar. I just want to buy it, frame it in a case, and display it in my “man cave“. You know, the room in the house that is for entertaining, but for men only. I did see some other colors that I would get, if I could buy them for a cheaper price. I do know, the shape and design of the Charvel guitars is what I am looking for.

We have a bright moon every year, but not this bright. We have a night where the moon comes real close to the Earth, but not this close. All the stars are lined up tonight, for the “perfect storm” if you will. The clear skies, the super moon of 2012, and the closest the moon will come to the Earth in a long time. It all adds up to a little family fun on Saturday night.

The super moon will look the biggest, when it starts to rise over the horizon; which will be right after sunset. Many folks might have trouble seeing this. The moon will be at its closest point to the Earth at 11:35 pm est. So for those living on the East Coast of the U.S.A. they can set their watches to this bright super moon, which will take place about 25 minutes before midnight. The later we go into the night, the better chance most home owners will have to get a glimpse of the 2012 super moon. Since the moon will be acting just like the Sun and rising and going across the sky. I would guess around 1 or maybe 1:30 eastern standard time, is when the moon will be in its “noon” or high angle in the sky.

Now I don’t ever remember having a super moon before. I do know the moon was very bright on Friday night, so I have a good idea on what to expect tonight. Seems weird the super moon is also happening in the same year, where we have the famous Mayan Calendar prediction. You know the one, the December 21, 2012 date that could destroy the World as we know it now. On this famous date, we are expected to go through a new change, as there is suppose to be some type of astrological alignment, high up in the sky above. How about you? Do you ever recall us having a super moon before? And what is your plans for Saturday night, as the super moon makes it’s North American debut to all the sky watchers.

What is your favorite color of beads to use? Or which color would you say you have used the most of recently? If you were making an American Flag, you would obviously need red beads, white beads, and blue beads. The white beads would not be that difficult to buy. Choosing the right shade of red beads or getting the exact shade of blue beads, would also take some keen eye skills. If you didn’t take the time to “eye it out right“, your flag would not look like a real red, white, and blue flag.

If you love playing with the colorful beads at home, please be sure to take care of your eyes. While we are all different and come from all over the World, we still have one very important thing in common. None of us are as young as we were yesterday. And I hate to say it, but the bad news is, we will all be even older tomorrow when we wake up. No matter how well we eat or how much we choose to exercise today, our age is always gaining on us. I don’t have no good tips for beating Father Time, but we can do simple changes in our day-to-day lifestyles, to make getting old a little bit easier to deal with. Just take our eyes for instance. How many of you right now are squinting to read this blog page? I hope not too many out there, but if you can’t see this text too clear or it is just too small to read. Then reach over and look for the “Ctrl” key on the lower, left side of your keyboard. Press down the “Ctrl” (or control button) and then start pressing down the plus “+” symbol;  which is a couple of keys over and on the top row from the “P” key on your keyboard. If you ever want to increase the text size on any webpage, just hold down the Control Key and then hit the plus symbol and each time you click it, the print will get bigger and bigger on the screen. To get it back small again or just a little smaller, you can press down the Control Key and hit the minus “-” which is right beside the plus key (or just above the letter P key on your keyboard). I hope this little trick, will keep you coming back to my blog, so you can continue reading some of my weird and strange thoughts I get from time to time.

Playing Cards Come in Big Sizes!

Father Time still holds most of the “playing cards” on us and yes PUN was intended! However, the card makers do make different sizes of playing cards. You don’t have to get the real big cards; which are so big, you can’t even hold in your hand. There is some normal size cards; which have a large print design on the playing cards. I think these cards are perferct for grandfathers and grandmothers to play cards with their grandchildren, when their eye sight isn’t as sharp as the grand kids have. Just buy a pack of large print playing cards and grandparents everywhere can solve this minor problem. Also, the kids that have played with regular size design before, will get a big kick and thrill out of seeing these big print playing cards.

Yeah, overall getting older each day is not something we want to hear too often. Life is too short and it’s a wonder we get as much as we do in our lifetimes; when you really see how short our life spans really are. Even for those lucky enough to live to be 100 or 110 years old, only get to experience a quick blink, of this magnificent world we all live in. I do want to try and help the elderly as much as I can now, while I am able to see and do most things pretty well. I know there will be a day on the horizon soon, when I can’t do a simple task or at least a task I would consider simple right now.

Please help me spread some cheer around online, for those who feel old and worthless. If you’re still here on this beautiful planet we call Earth, then I’m sure the big guy upstairs still have some plans left for you to do down here. I have given two tips for the elderly today. Or its two tips that the elderly folks might get the most use out of, but really, anyone with any eye sight problems or vision trouble, can use my two tips.

The first tip, was how to increase the text size on webpages online. This little trick will work on any website (I think?). I believe it works on any of the popular browsers too. If you currently use Windows, Firefox, Google Chrome, or something else; I think my little trick will work. If not, please shoot me a reply back and let’s talk about it.

For those who love games and especially our classic games like playing checkers or a strategy game of chess. Not sure what the deal is with this specific game of chess. It is called No Stress Chess and they are taking orders online for it now, but it will not be shipped out until later this month in April. Around April 23rd is the current estimation, on when this particular Chess Game will start being shipped out to customers. This might be a good gift to get a chess fan or the chess player in your household. I guess I would qualify for the “chess player” in my household, but I usually lose more games of chess than I win. It’s still a very fun game to play and if you never learned how to play chess yet, then you really should give it a try. I think all human beings should be able to do two things in life. In a way, we are all naturally gifted at both of these things, but yet a lot of folks can’t do one or can’t do both. What am I talking about?

Swimming and Chess! I think life is too short and we must absorb nature’s greatest gift and the most abundant natural resource we have on Earth. Okay, I’m sure air or something like that is the most abundant resource, but we do have a lot of water, and I think it’s a shame, more folks don’t learn how to swim. So get in touch with nature and try to figure out why we have 70 to 75% of the Earth’s Surface covered in water. And while you’re learning how to swim, you can pick up a new board game and begin the fun of learning how to play chess. I will give everyone the 2012 summer, to get out there and learn how to swim and how to play chess. One thing that I really love to do during my free time is read. It’s always so much to get stuck in a new book and discovering new book series to fall in love with. It happens to me quite often and it’s so much fun! But I have the evidence to prove that I love reading and am starting to accumulate way too many books just in stacks on my floor.

Because of that, I knew that I had to buy a bookcase soon and get a little more organized. Or I’d have to get rid of some of those books. I found this one really tall, vertical bookshelf that will fit into my living room perfectly. I don’t have much room to spare in there but this case perfectly fits in the room that I do have to spare in that room.

One of the best kinds of homemade gifts are all the different kinds of gift baskets that you can choose from as a consumer. These can be things that you make for yourself, or you can go through the retailer, and pick something out that is already been put together and ready for purchase. There are many stores which are good at putting these things together for their customers. Well the big day has arrived. It’s the two words that put a big smile on a lot of people’s face, who refer to their self as sports fans. Those two words are: OPENING DAY and it is only found in America’s past time. Yes, the MLB Season is here and baseball players and baseball fans will begin a long 162 game season. There is a lot of questions to be answered in baseball this year and I look forward to seeing how some of them play out. For instance, who is the best pitcher in the National League? Roy Halladay in Philly or the west coast Dodger Clayton Kershaw? Is Halladay even the best pitcher on his team with Cliff Lee and other strong NL hurlers on the Philadelphia baseball team? What can Adrian Gonzalez do for the Boston Red Sox this year? Is he enough to swat the Red Sox to a post season birth in 2012?

If the Red Sox break the curse of that first baseman, who missed a grounder against the New York Mets, will the goat be allowed at Wrigley this year? If Darwin Barney has anything to do about it, he will give 110% effort, as he is probably the hardest working baseball player in either league.

What team in baseball will Adam Jones be helping after the All Star Break? A little bird is singing in my ear and its Ray Charles at his finest; GEORGIA….just an old sweet song, keeps GEORGIA on my mind. The Braves need the “Bourn Identity” to have another big season, with about 72 stolen bases; while the Say Hey Kid Jason Heyward takes aim at left field in 2012. No, Mr. Heyward plans to stay grounded in right field while on defense, but his bat will be knocking balls to the left side this year. That should be interesting and good luck Jason!

If you want to talk about the best of the best, I think baseball has a new homerun king emerging; while another American League player seeks the best overall skills in baseball. Nope, I am not talking about any American League players who played in the National League last year; while winning a World Series with his NL Squad. I’m talking about someone who is a little more valuable than Albert Pujols. Best overall player in either league today, is also the player who has the best baseball stance in the game today. His stance is so great, because it is very basic. He is the poster-child for what a Major Leaguer should look like at home plate. His batting stance is the best and his swings are even better. Best MLB Player in 2012 is Miguel Cabrera; who will be playing a new position in 2012. He takes over at 3rd base, so a PRINCE could become an inFIELDER for the Detroit Tigers baseball team.

As great as this Tigers player is, he still won’t hit more homers than the new HR King of Major League Baseball. In my opinion and very careful observations over the last couple of seasons, I can’t see any player in baseball with this much power and such a big and explosive swing. I am talking about the greatest Blue Jay player of them all in Toronto and his name ladies and gentlemen is Jose Bautista. Grab this guy on your fantasy baseball teams every time. He will hit homers and supply tons of runs batted in; as the Toronto team has made some upgrades in 2012. Jose has the biggest bat of them all! No doubts here!

Right now, this is all I am going to leave you guys with. I do have some updates coming up in the near future, to see how the new closer in Philly is doing and can shortstop Jimmy Rollins keep the team going, while they wait on Chase to catch up? However, I do see 2012 being a good year for a few teams and I will highlight some obvious power house teams; while throwing in a couple of surprises for you. I only expect 1 NL team from last year’s grouping of post season teams to make it back (if we still had 1 wildcard). Since we have the extra wildcard for each league now, there will be 2 NL teams returning to the post season; while all the other teams will be newbies. The American League promises to hold just as much excitement, as we will see a pair of games, after the 162 baseball season schedule is done and over with. Do you know which American League teams will play 163 games or more in 2012? Well I do, so stick around to find out who. Now its time for opening day and we can finally say those magical words baseball fans: PLAY – BALL!

I came into this world in 1972. Since then, I have made Canton, Georgia my home for my entire life. I wasn’t the only thing that was getting started in Canton back in the early 70′s. A man named Lou DeLuca and his wife Helen DeLuca, from the Garden State of New Jersey, was opening a restaurant in downtown Canton, in the exact same year I was born. He would actually have the hot sandwiches, pretzels, and pizza being served, before I got here. So as you can see, this 1972 Canton Restaurant was open and ready for business, when I decided to take my first breathe.

The Hoagie Shop in Canton opened its doors on Academy Street; on March 20th, in the year 1972. It would help to feed the downtown workers of Canton during their lunch breaks. The Canton Cotton Mills, which was operated and owned by the Jones’ Family of Canton, would also help to send lots of hungry workers, over to the Sandwich Shop for a quick bite to eat.

Legendary PGA golfer Bobby Jones, the designer of the Masters Golf Course in Augusta, Georgia; was the grandson of R.T. Jones. Most Canton Residents will know or remember the name “RT Jones” for the local hospital and library in Canton; which both public places held his name at one time. Bobby Jones grandpa R.T. (Robert Tyre) was the one who kept the Cotton Mill in Canton going; while having a very popular clothing store in downtown Canton too. The Jones Mercantile Store provided a lot of customers for the R & M Hoagie Shop back then.

It was the Cotton Mill closing down in Canton, that would be the first sign of trouble for the Hoagie Shop. Years later, we would get a store most residents didn’t know that well and it was called Wal-Mart. Seriously, back then Wal-Mart was not that widely known. It was the K-Mart Stores that got all of the attention. Most residents would have voted for a K-Mart in Canton, before they would have voted to have Wal-Mart here. No big deal, since Kmart did arrive shortly after the Wal-Mart showed up with the Ingles Grocery Store. Later on, the Wal-Mart located near the North Canton red light, would move even further north and into the Riverstone area. This would not be good for the historic sandwich shop, since later on the county administration offices would pick up and leave to The Bluffs at Riverstone. All of this according to the Hoagie Shop owner, from a March 17th article in the Cherokee Tribune.

While the restaurant hasn’t changed much over the years and a lot of pictures hanging up to prove that. It could all becoming to an end very soon. It just doesn’t sound right, to think about the Hoagie Shop not being around anymore. The restaurant on Main Street is like walking back into time, when you visit them for lunch on Mondays through Saturdays, 6 days a week. Without a doubt, it is one of my favorite restaurants in Canton and the best place to grab a deli-style lunch or sub-sandwich. This wasn’t always the case. I did not like my first hoagie I ate at R&M.

When I was real little, around 6 or 7 years old, I stopped at the Hoagie Shop with my Mom. I think I was sick from school that day and had just got done seeing the doctor. We decided to grab a restaurant meal and chose the Canton Sandwich Shop for some reason. Our other choices would have been the Burger Chief, Village Diner, Granny’s Chicken (later on becoming Mrs. Winners; which is now shut down too), and maybe Pizza Hut was around? These were the North Canton red light restaurants. Kentucky Fried Chicken was located across from Howell’s Drive-In and this would have been at the South Canton red light and out of our way.

I really can’t remember what I ordered, but I didn’t like my first R & M Hoagie. However, I was a real picky eater back then, so I was real hard to please. My mama was not and she would eat just about anything. I can remember her not liking her hoagie sandwich either. So we were both in agreement, that the Hoagie Shop was not for us. My opinion on this would not change, until the decade of the 80′s and a TV show called The Cosby Show would make its first NBC appearance.

It didn’t take long for The Cosby Show to get popular. It was one of the best sitcoms on TV and still ranks as one of the greatest of all time. If you weren’t watching the Huxtable Family on TV, from 1984 and up til it went off in 1992, you just weren’t cool. The Cosby Show was where it was at! Now Cliff (Bill Cosby) was always trying to make a sandwich, without Claire (his wife Phylicia Rashad) seeing him. His health was not that good and she worried about some of the things he would eat. So what would he eat? Well, he would make this huge, mega-giant sandwiches on TV and they looked so good. He would add everything on them, including the kitchen sink. The way he would stack these giant subs up, it would make you real hungry. Or I should say, it made me real hungry, when I seen Cliff fixing a big sandwich. Sometimes he would add potato chips inside the sandwich, to give it a crunch when he ate it. Boy, did he have a special way of making me crave those big sandwiches he would always make, but rarely got to eat, because of Claire.

I got to thinking, where can I go to get a sandwich like that? This was before Subway Restaurants were around. I couldn’t really think of any place around Canton, to get a “Bill Cosby-style” sandwich. Finally I thought about the Hoagie Shop in Canton and wondered if it would cure my craving for this sub-style sandwich. I decided I would give it a try and I went back to R & M after all of these years. I ordered a steak hoagie and it was very delicious to say the least! About a week later, I came back in and got the same thing, but added mushrooms to it. Putting them mushrooms on it was the best thing in the world. Ever since then, I always order the steak and mushroom. It is just so good, I didn’t really want to eat anything else. I have tried a few other things there, cause I would take bites off of my family or friend’s sandwiches, but the steak and mushroom is my favorite thing on the R&M Sandwich Shop Menu!

Coming up on March 20th, the Canton Hoagie Shop will be celebrating 40 years of great service in the Canton, Georgia area. The Hoagie Shop in Canton is the oldest running restaurant in Canton. I would love to see this place in business for the rest of my years on this planet we call Earth. I never had a time in my life, where the Hoagie Shop would be impossible to eat. Now it looks like that could all change and change in a hurry.

Right after the 40 years of candles on the birthday cake have been blown out, a big sale will be coming up. It is the building that houses the R & M Sandwich Shop in Canton, which will go on sale March 21st. The day right after the 40 year mark, for this popular, local restaurant in Cherokee County, Georgia.

The building needs a buyer! If you’re looking to buy an old, historic building in downtown Canton, then please show up on March 21st to buy it. If someone will buy the building, then we get to keep eating this great food in Canton. If the building does not sell immediately, the residents in Canton are in big trouble. The decision could be made, to let the restaurant go and there will be no more hoagies for anyone! This is truly a sad time for the locals around here. I really hope someone will step up and buy this downtown building in Canton. I’m sure it would be a great investment and the downtown crowds will be back. Our city’s population is growing so fast, they will have to travel through the downtown area.

What can the people of Canton do right now, to save this awesome restaurant on Main Street? This is the question I am asking and I hope we get some good replies back, so maybe we can help. As a sign of support, I think all fans of the restaurant should eat there on March 20th. It will be this Tuesday (March 20th – 2012); which will be the official day of the 40 years in Canton mark. Go eat a hoagie on March 20th and let’s show our local support for this one-of-a-kind restaurant in Canton, Georgia.

I’m currently focusing on the local doctor’s offices and veterinarians and discussing the solution options available to them. I’m offering to help them to see the benefit of T1 Chicago for their offices. Although they don’t really think of themselves as “small businesses,” that is exactly what they are. They are a business of health and healing, but a business nonetheless. The main thing I am hearing from them is that they need to be able to read x-rays, and send results to the hospital via internet, while also being able to discuss what they are seeing on the phone live. They have really intense jobs, and the more I learn about the inside life of running a doctor’s office, the more I am amazed at how much goes beyond just treating the actual patients. I wonder if they teach a course on business and technology in medical and veterinary school. They should, because it is such a huge part of their jobs, but then again, if they did teach a course, I might be out of a job myself!

A fun way to drink soda for all ages is with this great drink called Ramune. It comes in a variety of different flavors, so you may need to try more than one, to find one you like. These Japanese Sodas do have less sugar than our typical sodas like Coke and Pepsi. Also, it has a little more carbonation than most of us are use to. You may notice a less sweet taste with a little more tickling of the throat. Looking at the big picture, these sodas would be better for us. They are not nutritional drinks, but they are more nutritious than the North American sodas.

Your kids will love drinking these flavored sodas and especially with their friends. The first fun thing the kids like to do, is trying to open these Japanese soft drinks. It takes a little effort and even for some adults, it can be a little tricky to open. You must take a hard piece of plastic, which comes in every cap and tear it out. Then you will need to line it up on top and apply some pressure, so you can break-through and get to the drink. There is a marble in the top of each glass bottle. You must push that marble down, in order to open this product. While it might be difficult for some, here is two young girls, who were able to open a glass of Ramune for their self. So as you can see from the video above, it isn’t the easiest thing in the world to open for a small girl, but these two did manage to open their Ramune Drinks. For those kids who are younger, you can keep them from drinking sodas, by having this Ramune Marble in place. And that brings us to the next fun and unique part about this drink.
