A parent could think of a hundred places to take their kids for a good time and they would never be able to come up with a better place than Disney World located in Orlando, Florida. The whole family has things to do when they plan out orlando vacations for the kids. The places to visit and eat in Orlando is awesome and you don’t have to have kids to take an Orlando vacation. I know my friends would have a good time if we decided to visit Orlando for a weekend vacation or one that would last a week. If you go to Disney World anytime soon, you will want to plan a full day there. I would even suggest buying a 3 day pass, so you can go back later during your vacation. There is so much to do at Disney World and there just isn’t enough hours in the day to take advantage of all the fun activities Disney World has to offer. If you do visit central Florida soon, then be sure to check out Universal Studios too. I think Universal Studios is becoming just as popular as Disney World. The kids all over the world have spoken and Disney World still remains the number one place they want to travel to or visit one day.

The famous and historic road and one of the first original highways in America was none other than Route 66. This was the mother of all highways back in the day and people would love to cruise different sections of Route 66. Most didn’t cruise the entire road, because it did go through 8 states. Route 66 began in Chicago, Illinois and would go south and gradually bend to the west until you would reach the end in Los Angeles, California.

People back then would fix up their cars or go shopping for truck accessories, so they would have the hottest ride on the cruising strip. It wasn’t just the people in trucks and cars cruising Route 66 and you would often find big rigs and groups of motorcycles showing off their rides too. This was certainly one place that you wanted the latest gadgets to add to your vehicle. It was a magical time back then and now a lot of that magic is gone.

Many sections of this historic highway are hard to find now and you can even see grass growing in some places on the Route 66 of today. It seems each state has their own opinions of how they should treat or keep up the road that was once called the Will Rogers Highway. It was the new interstate system in America that killed off Route 66. People wanted to get from point A to point B faster and the interstates offered this to travelers. It is sad to see that more isn’t being done to save America’s Main Street today. I haven’t had the chance to travel on any section of Route 66; but I do want to go cruising on it one day. Taking a journey on Route 66 is as American as baseball, apple pie, and perhaps seeing the Statue of Liberty too.

I been a little bored lately and I am ready to get into something. I have a lot of stored up energy right now, since I have been recovering from the flu. That flu bug is awful and if you haven’t got it yet; then I feel sorry for you when you do get it. When you do start to feel better you will want to go celebrate; while having that feeling you could take on the world. I think for my celebration party after having the flu and being miserable for 4 days; that I will go deep sea fishing. The fall time of  the year is the best time to go deep sea fishing in the Atlantic Ocean or the Gulf of Mexico. I believe I will choose South Carolina as my destination and book some reservations at one of the Myrtle Beach Hotels.

Before you travel during the holiday season make sure that you have a backup plan as what happened last year could reoccur and leave passengers stranded during the holiday season. You have specific rights as a passenger that airlines are not eager to tell you about so you need to ask for those passenger rights and make sure that they give you what you are entitled too. There will be thousands of travelers this upcoming season that will be better prepared and know that they do not have to sit around and wait for the airline to do something.

Last year we completed a trip for the holidays and we were one of those families you saw on TV stranded in Denver, as airlines were trying to dig out of the mess that the blizzard left behind. It was nice that the Denver airport was decorated all throughout in various Christmas lights that at least made it somewhat memorable. It seemed that everyone we talked to with the airline failed to remember that we were traveling during Christmas and they felt that there was no special assistance to help those who’s flights had been canceled any additional help. We were told that we would not be able to get out of Denver until December 27.

That was not going to work, so we started going to gates of flights that were scheduled to depart and go on standby. Luck was on our side as the first flight we approached put us on the plane, and we were on our way. What is frustrating is that the airlines, did not see to it that were booked on that flight, but that the standard response was that there were no flights. So in your travels do not take what the operator tells you, and take your fate into you’re own hands.

The southern portions of California have beautiful weather year round. I think many residents living in San Francisco, San Diego, or even Los Angeles could save money on transportation by owning a motorcycle. It may not be too safe in L.A. driving or riding on a bike, but you could save money on sky-rocketing fuel costs these days. A bike rider living in Oakland would have to hire a Oakland motorcycle accident lawyer, if they did have an accident riding their bikes in California. It’s not hard to wreck a motorcycle and a slight fender-bender in Beverly Hills could cause major damage to a motorcycle and its rider; that normally wouldn’t be a big deal for a car owner.  Safety is a concern for bike riders in California and saving a few dollars on gas may not be worth it for some.

The Hurricane Season was a little slow to start this year but it didn’t take the “named” storms long to pop-up when they did decide to come. Each year the weather folks give tropical depressions or tropical storms a name. They do this process in alphabetical order and this year’s first depression was named Ana. Soon after she appeared we got to see our first glimpse of Bill. It didn’t take long for the next one to roll-in either and this 3rd one was actually ahead of Ana and Bill. Tropical Storm Claudette was the 3rd storm of the year and it was detected late in the Gulf of Mexico. This 3rd weather system from the tropics is now on shore as it came in just west of Panama City Beach, Florida. Claudette made landfall early this Monday morning near Fort Walton Beach, Florida which is located in the panhandle between Destin and Panama City.

It doesn’t appear Claudette caused too much damage, but power outages and flooding is still a concern in Florida and the southern parts of Alabama. Ana is quickly losing steam and doesn’t appear it will affect the United States anytime soon. The big news right now is Bill and he is packing quite a punch in the Atlantic Ocean right now. Projected paths right now show it veering off from the U.S. coastlines, but still too early to tell. People living on the east coast of the United States in places like the Carolinas and Virginia could be in-store for some rough waves to come crashing in this weekend. If Hurricane Bill does decide to wobble; then North Carolina and other places up the northern coast could see some tropical moisture and winds from the 2nd tropical depression of the season. Everyone should keep a close eye on the weather this weekend and for the next couple of months as the hurricane season is just now beginning.

A Myrtle Beach Resort on the coast of South Carolina is just what the doctor ordered! Well not really, but you get my drift. These beautiful resorts are located all up and down the Carolina shorelines and who wouldn’t want to spend a weekend or even a week in one of these fabulous resorts?

I live in the Peach State of Georgia and the South Carolina border is just about 2 hours away from my North Georgia home. After I cross the S.C. border, it takes about another 4 hours to drive to the Myrtle Beach Resorts, that I want to travel to for a vacation. I know some may not be 6 hours away from Myrtle Beach and it may take a little more effort to get there. I will say that extra effort will be worth it, once you see the Atlantic Ocean from Myrtle Beach. I have been there 2 times in my life and enjoyed each trip very much. I can’t wait until I get a chance to go back for a 3rd time.

Myrtle Beach has changed so much over the years and some people say I won’t even recognize it; since it’s been so long ago when I visited there. I went with close relatives the first two times I went there. I’m ready to go with friends now and enjoy the luxuries of being an adult in Myrtle Beach. They do have a great party atmosphere, but Myrtle Beach is a lot more tame than some party beaches and the parents won’t have any problems taking the children to Myrtle Beach.

Summer is coming to an end and fall is just around the corner. You do want to travel to Myrtle Beach in the summer time or at least when the weather is warm, so you can enjoy the fun and sun on the beaches. I may can find better deals right now for Myrtle Beach Accomodations and I am living on a budget right now.  Most of these places that provide vacation spots for families, like Myrtle Beach, may have a sharp decrease in visitors when school starts back. Most of the schools in Georgia are back in business right now and I’m sure the same can be said for the schools in South Carolina. Maybe now is the perfect time (price wise) to make that trip across the border and stay in one of those luxury resorts Myrtle Beach has to offer.

Getting rid of bed bugs is NOT a situation you want to find yourself in. The best way to deal with bed bugs is prevention and you can do this by using a product like the bed bug encasement by BugZip. I recently obtain some items from BugZip to try and see how well it did against bed bugs. I was very impressed with the quality of their products and just how easy they were to use. They even made the material slippery, so that bed bugs could not crawl up it. Using their product to travel from hotel room to home or from a campground to home is sound advice for anyone trying to prevent their home from getting infested with bed bugs. 

I just got back from camping and I have no fears that I brought back anything with me that I shouldn’t have. I feel the BugZip product did protect me from bed bugs and other pests like ants, fleas, and spiders that are easy to get from a camping trip. The morning dew can often cause unwanted dampness on camping items and the BugZip prevented dew or wetness from getting to my clothes, shoes, and snacks too! There isn’t a lot of vineyards on the east coast to visit, so I haven’t ever been to one before. I would like to make a trip out west one day and visit some of the vineyards in California. I would be happy to take my taste buds out there for a week and perform some Wine Grades for them. A vacation to a vineyard seems like a fun trip to me. I couldn’t imagine all the fun I would have just sitting around and drinking wine all day. These areas in California are very scenic and would be a peaceful journey to take one day. I would not want to travel alone and this would be a trip I would want to make with a special lady friend. This type of atmosphere is perfect for romance and I’m sure I would earn some major points with a getaway to a vineyard.

I would need some expert advice on Wine Pairing and wouldn’t have a clue on where to begin here. I don’t think the costs would be expensive for a vacation to a vineyard. You figure most of these vineyards are located on farms and not close to a big or major city. Typically hotel and motel rates are cheaper the further you get from the big cities. I think the lodging would be very affordable. Buying the wine shouldn’t be that much either, since you’re located where it’s made and the vineyards aren’t paying for packaging and shipping. A vineyard that offers a variety of free wine samples would be higher on my list than the ones that didn’t. A trip that has low lodging costs and free samples of the item you’re actually coming for, would be a cheap vacation. For me the expense would come in travel costs, since I live so far from California. Deciding to drive or fly would be a decision I would have to make later on. I know flying is the best way to get some where, but I have always wanted to drive across country. I just never knew of a destination to travel to and maybe a wine vineyard in California is the way to go.

The man everyone knows as “Tiger” doesn’t seem to be the golfer he once was. He just doesn’t hit the ball like we are use to seeing and perhaps the glory days of Tiger Woods is over. It’s hard to say why he doesn’t play golf at a high level anymore and perhaps its age or just being too rich and popular to practice like he needs to do. I really don’t think Tiger Woods will win another tournament in golf and golf fans got a glimpse of his horrible play the last two days in England. You can still see Tiger playing great golf, if you buy one of the numerous video games he is on. Maybe you can watch Tiger Woods playing golf this weekend on your TV sets; if you do own a video game with Mr. Woods on it. Some golf fans might think I’m over reacting to his latest performance. The Open (British Open) across the pond is where all the best golfers in the world are playing this weekend. The golfers got to play 2 rounds of golf that took place on Thursday and Friday and a certain number will determine the cut-off mark. Only the top performing golfers get to advance on the weekend, so it’s important to have a good stroke on these first two days. Tiger missed the cut and a lot of fans will be disappointed in England when they don’t see him playing this weekend. This is only the 2nd major that Tiger has missed in his great golf career. After seeing him play since his surgery that ended his season short last year, it doesn’t seem like he has it anymore. Perhaps Tiger Woods will figure out a way to win a small golf tournament here or there; but I don’t expect him to ever win another major golf tournament again. Do you think Tiger Woods is still the best golfer in the world?

If Tiger’s golf days are numbered; you may just want to wait on buying his video games. If he continues to play poorly on the golf courses, they might just be a big sale on Tiger’s video games. I’m sure most of his fans expect him to play strong on his next outting, but I really think this golfing legend is done on the PGA Tour. There is a senior circuit out there and it should be interesting to see if a player with his stature in the sport would ever consider playing with the seniors.

I haven’t never played a video game with Tiger on it, but I could imagine it would be a lot of fun. I’m sure he can drive the ball far and straight on the video games that do feature him. The golf video games I have played in the past, I have thought was a lot of fun. Golf is a fun sport in real life or on a video game. I guess with Tiger no longer in the picture this weekend, it makes the field wide open for who will win the 2009 British Open.

You can bring your Dansko shoes if you want, but a pair of flip flops will work fine for the beach. A few swimming suits, sun glasses, and the sun tan lotion is all you really need. Most travelers will want to take a few nice clothes for going out to eat in the evenings or if you plan to go shopping or site-seeing on your vacations. The beach is really the best way to go for families choosing a vacation spot and the beach is free too! It doesn’t cost to get wet, play in the sand, or get a nice tan on the beaches and this is another thing I like about a trip to the beach. The beach is a cheap trip, but one that the whole family can enjoy.

When I get free time and that hasn’t been much lately, I do like to get on the golf course and hit a few balls. I’m not that great of a golfer and most of the time I have no idea where my golf balls are going. It is a fun sport and I really do like the game of golf. Since I don’t have much time to play right now, I would like to take a vacation, but not any vacation, a golfing vacation is what I had in mind. Doesn’t a golfing vacation sound fun? I know everyone that has ever picked up a golf club before knows who Robert Trent Jones is and he was a great golfer. He also designed a lot of golf courses and I do know he designed the one located at the Waterway Hills Golf Club in Myrtle Beach. I live in Canton, Georgia and this is where lots of family members live that are related to the great Bobby Jones. His grandpa built a successful business in Canton that was known as the Canton Cotton Mills and these buildings are still standing in our city today. There are many golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones and the Masters in Augusta, Georgia are also his design. I would certainly choose the Waterway Hills Golf Club as one of my golf courses to play and not sure on the others just yet; since they are so many places to play golf in Myrtle Beach. Since June has already arrived for this year, I’m sure most families have their summer vacations planned and all the reservations have already taken place. Most families ony take 1 vacation a year, so you may be booked for your limit this year. Williamsburg is located in the great state of Virginia and would be a great place for the whole family to enjoy. I know you probably hear the line about “the whole family to enjoy” a lot, but it really is true for this beautiful area in Virginia. The old world meets the new world here and I know the adults would enjoy the flavors of the old world better than the kids would. I’m sure the kids wouldn’t mind a little time at Busch Gardens theme park or Water Country USA water park and both of these are very close to Williamsburg, Virginia. There is great shopping available in this area and also a good choice for first class dining restaurants. I love the food places on my vacations and Williamsburg easily passes my food test, I have in place for choosing great places to visit.

Go ahead and add this to the list of possible travel destinations for this year or for the family vacation list of 2010. You can also stay at a nice resort while visiting Williamsburg and there is a Westgate in this part of Virginia. People that travel up and down the east coast of the USA to get to their travel destinations, may want to make a slight detour and spend just a day or two in Williamsburg. Virginia is a great place to take a break on a long driving trip and a chance to soak up some rich history that is found in this part of the country. I love the state of North Carolina and you are always just minutes from the beach or a trip to the beautiful mountains in North Carolina. I think you will have a great time and you won’t regret an over night stay in an RV Park or if you plan to stay longer than just one night.

Anyone that is getting ready for a trip to Alaska will want to check out the cabins in Denali. These Denali Cabins are located near the entrance to the Denali Park. The park is a national park in Alaska and it’s always a popular place to visit for tourists and travelers. I love the look of these cabins and I think it would be the best way to enjoy a trip or vacation to the state of Alaska. There is just so much beauty and wildlife in Alaska and I think these cabins offer the best way to experience it all.

It takes a lot of planning to Travel Alaska and I hope some day to make those plans. Alaska has always been one of my desired travel destinations to visit some day. It’s still one of the few U.S. states that have been virtually untouched by man. The state of Alaska is still under the control of nature and that’s what interests me the most about Alaska. Man hasn’t had the opportunity to spoil the beauty of Alaska and I hope I get a chance to see it before this happens. I know Alaska is a state that will be affected by global warming and its effects can already be seen in the northern most American state. We need a lot of people to step up now and help preserve the scenery and all the wildlife that calls Alaska home. Alaska Travel opportunities may decrease in the future if we don’t stop the effects of global warming or the new term they use now “climate change“. The trips for now are still going on and you better hurry if want an Alaskan tour or the chance to stay in one of those great Denali Cabins you can find near Denali National Park.
