The Argentina Ski Resorts are just like the ones in the U.S., if not better in some cases. You can choose to go alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, or take an adventure with the sledges led by Siberian dogs. I think one of the expeditions that Chapelco Mountain offers would be fun too. You can take an expedition on snowshoes or in the snow cats. There is just a little bit of everything to do in these beautiful ski resorts in Argentina. You and the whole family will have plenty of activities to choose from, if you decide to make your next family vacation a ski trip to Argentina.

I’m not looking to make any big trips this summer. I would like to get my hands a little dirty and go gold panning in North Georgia. The way the prices of gold has shot up in the last year or so, makes me want to get out and find some. Gold isn’t hard to find in Georgia. Especially for those that live in the gold belt that runs through about 1/3 of the state. I really don’t want to travel to areas where gold has already been discovered. I would like to make a new discovery and tap into a region that’s never had any gold found.

Really all of the states have some gold in them. There’s a good chance you live on land or own property that contains gold. Gold has been mined commercially in 48 out of the 50 states. Kentucky and Hawaii are the only 2 states that have never had any commercial gold mining to take place in their state. I’m not sure about Hawaii, but I know there would be gold present in the state of Kentucky.

At the moment I don’t even own a gold pan. I will need to buy a few supplies before I start up my gold searching expedition in the mountains of North Georgia. I may not get rich in my gold finding adventures, but it will still be some good exercise for me and give me a chance to get outdoors. Sometimes spending a little time with Mother Nature will do wonders for our health and the way we feel. I”m sure I will find a little gold this year. I just hope I can strike a gold vein that will pay for my bills for a few years. A lot of that gold is just out there waiting to be found. We won’t never find any if we don’t give it a try, so I plan to use my summer vacations this year on gold trips.

A new mission has been completed up in space. The guys working on the Space Station have successfully added an observation deck to the space craft they rely on to keep them safe in outer space. This was not a cheap project for the crew that make up the International Space Station. The new observation deck cost 27 million dollars. I doubt anyone on Earth has ever spent that kind of money on a deck or overlook for their home.

This is just another toy for the guys that are lucky enough to get a chance to experience life on the Space Station. One day we may get to see ordinary citizens have the opportunity to travel to the space station. I’m not sure if I would ever want to go or not. I would love it once I got up there and I would like to see the Earth from outer space. I just don’t trust the travel methods that are in place now that gets these brave men and women to the International Space Station. It takes a powerful rocket system to get those astronauts in outer space and a lot of things have to go right in order for this to succeed. I’m not sure how long it took these guys to build their new observation deck, but sometimes the smallest things can take a lot of time when your working outside of the Earth’s atmosphere. If NASA gave you the chance to visit the space station one day, would you like to go? I don’t think we are too far away from seeing normal people make the long trip into outer space.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you want to go? I have a few choices and I hope to visit them all some day. I have never did much traveling in my life, but plan to later on. I have so many places in the United States I want to see and it’s a must for me to see these travel destinations. If I could pick only one place to visit and was offered a free trip, I would probably select Italy. I love the country of Italy. I think all the water canals in Venice are cool and that’s the city I would like to see most. Good food and beautiful scenery are just a couple of the things that a Italian vacation would offer.

I know at the bottom of the world there is another place I would also like to see one day. New Zealand has some amazing waterfalls and it’s my number 2 choice to visit one day. I have heard of a lot of other people wanting to travel to New Zealand, so I know I’m not alone. I hope New Zealand and Italy both get stamped on my passport one day. Which place would you like to travel to and spend a week?

I know a lot of my friends go play golf in South Carolina every year. It isn’t a far drive from our North Georgia homes. An Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Hotel is the next best thing to a resort. If you don’t want to stay at a resort, you can select from a long list of hotels in the area. I do recommend getting one that is on the ocean side of the strip. It’s a lot better when you can leave your hotel room and head for the ocean and you don’t have to worry about crossing the street and dodging the traffic on the strip. The stage is set and the 4 best college teams in football will be matched up against each other this year. The bias BCS Rankings wasn’t able to put the best 4 college football teams against each other, but the ACC and SEC did manage to accomplish what the BCS couldn’t. We are lucky as college football fans to have a championship game in the ACC and SEC so we can see good teams facing good teams. The best two teams in the country is no doubt the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide. These top two teams in the 2009 college football season will get a chance to face each other in the SEC Championship Game.

The winner of the SEC Championship Game between the Crimson Tide and the Gators will be crowned the 2009 NCAA Champions in college football. The official BCS rankings will not show this on their final results, but this is because of their bias voters and not having the ability to understand how competitive football is in the South. We see some of these undefeated teams barely beating small schools; yet they’re still ranked in the top 10 in the country. Even the Texas Longhorns are over ranked and don’t deserve a BCS bowl game this year. They have manage to squeak by weak competition and don’t deserve their bid for a title game this year. It was the middle of October when voters said Texas should finish unbeaten, since they had already faced 1 or 2 good teams on their schedule. The South offers a much tougher competition level and just look at the opponents of Florida and Alabama. Their final regular season game was against Florida State and Auburn and they had to play these two games before they face each other in the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship Game. The Texas Longhorns or none of the other undefeated teams in the top 10 could a Auburn or Florida State and then have to play a team like Alabama or Florida to just have the chance to play in the BCS Championship Game. No question the SEC has the best two teams in the country and 2009 college football champions will be crowned in the Georgia Dome on December 5th.

The ACC will be providing the next best two teams in college football. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Clemson Tigers will square off in Tampa Bay to settle the champions from the ACC. Either one of these two teams would easily defeat TCU, Texas, Cincinnati, Boise State or even a Pac 10 Oregon team that is ranked 8th in the country for some reason. You can just look at Oregon ranked 8th to see how messed up the BCS Rankings are. Oregon has lost two games this year to Stanford and Boise State. They beat Purdue by 2 points and won against Arizona by a slim margin of 3 points. It would be a sad day for Oregon’s football team if they had to face a team like the Clemson Tigers from the ACC. Clemson would run all over Oregon and any other Pac 10 team. This is the BCS problem and the environment they have created in college football. Clemson is probably the weakest of the 4 teams playing in the SEC and ACC championship games and our weakest elite team could easily beat their most elite, not to mention the other college football teams that are over ranked.

The ACC Game is determined by the best team from the Atlantic Division which is the Clemson Tigers and the best team from the Coastal Division which is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The 2009 ACC Championship will be held in Raymond James Stadium and this is where the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers play their home football games on Sundays in Florida.

The ACC championship game is sponsored by Dr Pepper and they will be helping provide which team is the 3rd best team in the country. The SEC will have the top two teams in college football and the loser will be the 2nd best team in the 2009 college football season. The winner of this ACC match up between the Tigers and Yellow Jackets will be 3rd in the country and the loser will be considered the 4th best team in the country. I would rank the TCU team 5th overall in the country and this would complete the top 5 teams in college football.

I don’t think 6th place and down is really that important in college football. We should know which teams make up the top 5 positions and it worked out in this order for the 2009 college football season. The BCS Rankings can’t get the top 5 teams in the country due to money from programs like USC Trojan football and the bias voters that don’t want to see an all southern BCS Championship Game; even if they’re the best two teams in the country. There will not be another game in the regular season or in a bowl game that will feature as much talent and good football players as the SEC Championship Game will have in Atlanta, Georgia on December 5th. The ACC Game will also fall on December 5th and ABC will carry this game.

Our wheels are everything to us and I do mean “wheels” as in our cars we drive each day. Since we spend so much time in them and they’re so valuable to us; it’s only natural we want the coolest and best car accessories we can find for them. I have a lot of friends that like to buy all the fixings for their rides and they love this type of stuff. It is as much fun to buy car accessories for them as it is to get out and install them on their automobiles. I haven’t did it as much as them but I can understand the excitement they get out of it. The over rated team from Southern California took another step toward their status as an unproven and money driven college football team. You would never think the number 9 team in the nation would lose to two weak Pac 10 teams; while only winning by 5 points the week before. These bias voters toward the USC Trojan football program and the respect they get from the BCS Rankings is just crazy. A very average team from the Pac 10 handed a beat down to the mighty Trojans; who have never been mighty at all. Their preseason rankings each year is a black mark on college football and the system would work fine, if you took out the USC bias voters and the way these voters build up other teams that are opponents for the USC football team.

Stanford rolled in to the Coliseum and left no doubts to the country that this team isn’t a top 25 team in the country. It all starts with the quaterback in football and starting a new season with a true freshmen quarterback should have been enough to get USC out of the top 25 rankings. Even with their poor play against average to weak teams still didn’t seem to bother the BCS and the way they kept this team floating in the standings. It’s a sad situation in Southern California and to the rest of the country that love college football. Even with this historical blowout on their home turf, they will still be considered a top 25 team. We have all got caught up in this Pete Carol fantasy and it’s time the BCS takes this team out of the top 25 teams in the country. They haven’t been a top 25 team for a long time now and it’s unfair to give these guys BCS bowl games they don’t deserve. It’s over USC and no recruits want to come to a school with pending charges from the NCAA coming. USC is going to lose bowl eligibility in the near future; since they paid Reggie Bush’s family money. You can not pay players or their families in college sports and the NCAA is being monitored to see how they deal with the payments USC college gave to the New Orleans Saints Reggie Bush’s family.

The season is over for USC and it’s been over for a long time now. There is no reason why this team should be a top 10 or even a top 25 team next year. The preseason polls can show some justice and keep the USC Trojans from the 10 best teams in the country, because it’s USC that is the problem in college football. The BCS rankings and system will work; when we get impartial voters and polls for these college football rankings. USC deserves no post season football this year and all bowl games should ban USC from their games.

How many times do we plan a camping trip in the middle of summer, where the temperatures are hot and we spend more time away from the campfire than near it? Instead of dodging the campfire for excess heat, wouldn’t it be nice to use a campfire for warmth? We only light the summer campfires so we can roast our marshmallows and hot dogs. Perhaps a few campers use it for a source of light at night, but the summer campfires can be more of a hassle than a pleasure.

A winter camping trip would be all about the campfire. I have been out in the woods at night with very cold temperatures and you can’t get close enough to that campfire. This is when camping can be a lot of fun. If you have to use your campfire for warmth, you have planned the perfect night for camping!

Now winter camping trips in a camper don’t count. You have to sleep in a tent or a sleeping bag on the ground. A camper is cheating in my book, but if you do plan a winter camping trip in your motor home, make sure you got some good rv insurance. Some of the steep roads going to campground areas can be a nightmare in the winter time and especially if a little rain or snow starts to form ice on the roadways. It can quickly become a dangerous situation and don’t think the heavy weight of an RV will keep you from sliding off the road. You see the big 18 wheeler trucks wrecking all the time and no vehicle is prone to icy roads. Save your big fancy camper for the summer time and leave the winter camping to those that brave nature’s cold nights in tents.

You can still pack the hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting on the fire. Everyone will want to be the chef on winter camping trips. It’s just another excuse to get closer to the campfire. A bag of charcoal and the grill is fine to bring along. I prefer a good grilled hamburger over a hot dog, so grills are allowed on camping trips. The portable things that run off batteries should be kept at home, so you get a better experience with Mother Nature. If you don’t have a lot of talkers in your camping party, you may want to bring a radio for a little entertainment. Only a radio that everyone can listen to, this doesn’t mean the IPods, the Walkmans, or any portable televisions you may own.

One luxury item is allowed for a camping trip and the radio without earphones is your one luxury item. If you start allowing too many luxury items, it spoils what a camping trip is meant for. I know everyone has their own definition, but the more rugged it is, the better you will appreciate the modern things we get to use everyday. That pillow on your bed and your soft mattress gets taken for granted daily. Now try sleeping without them for one night and you will understand how lucky we are to have beds and pillows. Now go get with your friends and plan out a camping trip for this December or January. Be safe out there and make sure to pack more than you would for a summer camping trip.

If you’re in the market for a used car, you may just want to travel out to Austin, Texas to pick up your next ride. Before you tell me that Austin is too far away, maybe you better let me finish. Buying a car in your local hometown is going to take a clean credit history for you to drive that car off the lot. People with bad credit or not perfect credit histories can travel out to Austin, Texas and have a much better chance of coming home with a new car. The reason for this is because they own the bank! They don’t actually own it, but they are the bank! I know Austin is pretty big, but some of these locations are probably outside the Austin area. You may be able to save a few miles and not have to drive into the downtown area of Austin, Texas. Just borrow a car and make this a family vacation to Texas; where you will end up buying a new car at the end of your trip.

I guess the Love Boat’s lyrics weren’t quite like that, but this is no love boat. The popular TV show from the 1980’s called the Love Boat had a theme song that sang “Come Aboard. We’re Expecting You”. I guess this is the message the French Navy could have said to some Pirates on the high seas. It appears some Somali Pirates mistaken the ship at night time and thought they were seeing a cargo ship. They probably thought a ship that size would have some good stuff on it, so in the middle of the night they attacked the ship with light firearms and tried to overtake the ship. However, there was one big problem. The ship they saw on the ocean was no cargo ship and didn’t have people on board that were going to hand it over so easily. It was a French Naval ship and they had little problems fending off the pirate intruders. When the pirates saw their mistake, they tried to flee, but after a 1 hour chase on the waters, the pirates were captured.

I guess to put in some perspective of how these pirates messed up; would be to think of a group of bank robbers trying to rob an Army base on land and thinking it was a bank. As funny as this story is and the humilation and trouble these pirates will be facing, this is another sign that pirates still exist on the high seas in the 21st century. Off the coast of Somali is where most of these pirates come from and it’s become a breeding ground for this tiny nation. More steps need to be done to stop these guys that think they can just rob ships as they pass by their coastlines. No nation really hasn’t took the lead in stopping these pirate attacks. It seems each country just deals with it when it’s their ship, goods, or crewmen that are involved. We need the bigger countries of the world to sit down and come together on a strategy to stop Somali Pirates from attacking ships in this area of the world. Sitting around and waiting for the next attack is not the way to handle this and some one needs to step up and settle these view points on Somali grounds. No one should have to fear the next time they decide to take a cruise and no company should be transporting goods across our oceans with people like this in the world.

If you are looking to move to a country where you can grow old and happy; then Norway would be the choice for you. A recent study shows people in Norway living long lives and happy ones too. This study concludes that Norway is the top country to live in and the United States is listed at 13 on the list. I think most Americans are happy and would not want to live in another country. It is surprising to see 12 other countries listed higher than the U.S. in this latest study.

I was looking at Yahoo’s homepage and saw this recent news today. I’m sure the people that own businesses geared toward the tourism in Norway are happy to see Norway on top of the list. I would like to visit all of the Scandinavian countries some day and Norway would certainly be one of them. I think it would be a cool experience to travel to Norway and take in the local scenery and food Norway has to offer. I’m always looking for great food and seeing which countries are known for fine cooking. The residents living in Norway do know how to prepare some delicious meals. I think anytime is a good time to experience some Norwegian cuisine and I personally would list Norway very high on my top travel destinations I would like to make some day.
