A company called Taser that is famous for making stun guns to help police and citizens with self-protection, will soon be assisting parents with monitoring their child’s cell phone calls. I’m not hearing no one complaining about privacy laws here, but I’m sure the kids would be if they had a voice in the matter. I do think this new technology will help keep our kids safe and that is what matters the most.

Taser will develop an application called Mobile Protector and this will allow parents to screen their children’s incoming and outgoing calls. Parents will have the ability to block certain phone numbers and even listen-in on their son or daughter’s phone conversations. Mom or Dad could have this monitoring device on their own cell phones or hook it up to their personal computers at home to monitor their kids cell phone usage.

The technology products won again this holiday season. It’s the cell phones and ipods that probably led the way this holiday season in 2009. You know the kids and their video games, I’m sure these items were on lots of lists this year. The gaming systems and video games for them, were another hot sector this year for retailers.
