It has been a nice 5 year run online with YouTube for Rhett and Link. They both say they will continue to do their YouTube Videos and promote their customers here online. 2011 Earthquake in Japan is the Worst Ever

I’m not sure where the 2011 Japan Earthquake will officially rank on the list of worse earthquakes ever in Japan, but I am calling this one the worse. If you figure-in all of the modern technology and a higher population of people living in Japan, it leaves more room for destruction costs to go up. The total damage amount in terms of dollars will take the rest of this year and most of 2012 to really put an accurate number on it. The death toll in Japan continues to rise too, so we still don’t know how many people have lost their life, to this awful disaster that took place in Japan on Friday afternoon.

It was during the daylight hours of the afternoon on March 11; when the powerful earthquake started to register the first numbers on the Richter scale (unit used to measure earthquake size and power). The latest number I have seen is 8.9 earthquake in Japan Friday. The magnitude of a 6.0 earthquake can cause a lot of damage and loss of life. When you go up to a 7.0 earthquake, it becomes a life-changing effect; which will reach out and affect a huge number of people and man-made structures. Anything over an 8.0 is incredible power, that comes up from the center of the Earth’s surface and causes a ton of damage above ground. Now the officials in Japan are dealing with an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and it has affected a very densely populated area of Japan. The center of the earthquake was away from Japanese soil and it did occur many miles out to sea. The timing was in the afternoon for the earthquake out in the ocean and then it was a little later, right before the rush hour in Japan, where we saw the tsunami come ashore to a large portion of the Japanese Country.

I’m so glad this horrible disaster did take place during the day, where the citizens and people visiting Japan could at least see what was going on. I fear one day, we will have one of these big tsunamis and it will take place at night; which will cause a lot more horror, destruction, and loss of human life. The other big tsunami that most people will remember, took place on the day after Christmas a few years back. This tsunami was the biggest I had ever seen, but it did take place during the daylight hours too. This probably help to save hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent lives back then, for the December 26th tsunami.

Right now, all we can do is watch the horror on our TV screens and see all of the problems this nation is currently facing and will have to continue to face over the coming days, week, months, and lots of years too. We sometimes have trouble distinguishing what event is a disaster and deserves funding and which ones are not worthy of a disaster relief fund. I don’t think we will have any arguments on the 2011 tsunami and earthquake that has rattled this tiny nation in the Pacific. Please help if you can. Latest update, has a nuclear power plant in trouble in Japan. The Japanese Earthquake causes a nuclear power plant building to explode and go up in flames. The building was just a storage building for the nuclear reactor in Japan. The newest explosion doesn’t pose any new dangers, because radiation was already leaking nearby. Citizens of Japan are being asked to leave a 12 mile radius area, around the Japanese Nuclear Power Plant. The nuclear facility in Japan, is in danger with some radiation escaping. Since Japan is really the only nation ever to be on the wrong end of a nuclear attack, these latest concerns over the nuclear power plant, have to be bringing up some old memories, that are not pleasant ones, for the people who remember the nuclear attack in 1945 by the United States military.
