You can do this with the credit card companies too. Go ahead and sign up for a few credit cards, make 1 or 2 small purchases, and then quickly pay them off and not use the cards again. This is another fast way to build up a good credit history. Think twice before you throw away that junk mail in the future and fill out some of those credit card applications and take them up on their offers. Most people don’t have bad credit; they just don’t have a long credit history. Small loans and paying off credit cards quickly is a great way to establish a credit history. You will need a good credit history when you really do need the money for something like a car or home loan. Don’t wait until you need one of these big loans and start creating a good credit history now. Building up good credit isn’t too hard to do. It’s maintaining a good credit history that takes a little practice and responsibility. Only buy the things you can afford and you will be establishing a good credit history that will last you a lifetime.
