Bruce Lee was a Chinese American martial artist and martial arts actor widely regarded as one of the most influential martial artists of the twentieth century. He was born in 1940 on November 27. His movie Enter the Dragon was one of his biggest movies. Lee had a short life here, as he died in 1973 at the age of 32. He brought the martial arts from the East to the West. He developed his own form of martial arts which he called Jeet Kune Do.
One of the leagacies that Bruce Lee left behind was the famous one inch punch. This was a punch, where he would extend his arm out and with a flicker of the shoulder could knock a grown man down to the ground. It was astonishing to see so much power generated in the one inch punch. He also had the ability to do 2 finger push ups.
He starred in many movies and the popular tv show the Green Hornet. In the Green Hornet, Lee played Kato. He was paid $400 an episode to play the Green Hornets chaufeur driver.
Brandon Lee is the son of Bruce Lee. He starred in the major motion picture the Crow. One week after Brandon was born, Lee’s Father died back in Hong Kong. When Bruce went back to see his father, he had to get on his knees and crawl to the casket. It’s a tradition that if your not around when your father dies, then you must do this.
Bruce Lee had a headache and took a prescription pain pill. He lay down to rest and would never awake. It’s not quite sure what actually killed him, but his death today is listed as “death by misadventure”. The famous movie Enter the Dragon was postponed on it’s original showing date. It is released in August of 1973 and the movie is a huge success.
