Simple things are worth blogging about

A lot of different types of steaks out there, so let me be real clear on which type of steak I am talking about. Just your ordinary, great tasting steaks from cows or bulls. When you get lucky enough to have a chance to sink your teeth into a nice juicy, medium cooked cow steak; which steak sauce do you prefer?
For me, it’s not even a close contest. I love the A1 Steak Sauce and it’s my favorite thing to put on steak. I know they use to have a motto that said something like “make your burger a steak burger”. I also like to add A1 into my ground beef for hamburgers. I find letting your ground beef burgers cook until they’re almost done and then added a little A1 steak sauce to each side of the burger. Just let the A1 sauce cook for about 1 minute on each side and then pull them out of the pan. Over cooking the A1 sauce can interfere with the taste and raw A1 sauce isn’t as good, as the sauce you can cook for about 2 minutes. The heat gives the A1 steak sauce a chance to seep into the burgers and you get some of that good A1 flavor inside the hamburger. Try to cook your ground beef burgers like this next time and you will probably want to eat steak burgers more often.
Flavors of A1 Steak Sauces
In the steak department, my favorite one is probably the T-Bone steak. I would put the N.Y. Strip steak as a close second and these are my favorite two steaks. The prime rib is one of the most common steaks, but I don’t think its as good as the New York Strip or the T Bone steaks. Normally your prime rib steaks are cheaper, so more people eat prime rib than the other 2 steaks I mentioned. Nothing wrong with the taste of prime rib steaks, but I do believe there is a lot better tasting steaks available on the cow.
The Heinz 57 Steak Sauceis another popular choice for steak sauces. The guys from Heinz should stick to making catsup and leave the steak sauce to the A1 company. I never have thought the 57 steak sauce was any good. I know in most restaurants and especially the steak house restaurants, you will find a bottle of each one on the table. I keep an eye on other customers eating steak and see which sauce they eat the most. I see a lot more people reaching for the A 1 steak sauce; than the Heinz steak sauce or any of the other sauces for steaks. I would like to know which steak sauce you like the best or if you prefer to eat your steaks without steak sauce?
