The thing no one wants to say or talk about is usually right in front of us and no one will speak up. There is usually a good reason why you or others won’t say anything. It’s usually because your beliefs or thoughts will buck the trend or more popular views. So sometimes we just keep quiet and let things materialize on their own. In some rare occasions we do have people speak up and lend new ideas or views to a subject. These people become trend setters and are glorified for their unique words, views, or ways they go about getting something done. Or they go down another path and become a outcast to society.

The drug rehabilitation programs exist in our society today, because a lot of people over look the big elephant that is sitting right in the middle of their homes. These programs are great for anyone who wants to escape the addictions to drugs and alcohol. If someone wants to get clean, there is help for them. Sometimes it is up to family members and friends to convince their loved ones they do need help. They have to go out of their way to prove that drugs or alcohol is destroying their lives and the people around them. The information is available online or at some of these rehab facilities, for those seeking the professional help they need to stop their addictive patterns.

While we deal with these problems at one end of the spectrum, we need to also focus on the other end. These prescription drug companies and alcohol companies make a lot of money selling their products. If used properly or in moderation, they are acceptable by our laws and main stream society. It seems these companies don’t do enough to fund the drug rehab centers and the alcohol rehab centers; that have to deal with their products when people do abuse them. If more would be done to fight the battle on the production side of these products, we would have less people with drug and alcohol abuse problems.

I’m not blaming the doctors or the big alcohol and drug companies. They are all within their legal rights to be doing what they’re doing. If the laws and regulations need to be changed; then that is a topic for another discussion. Perhaps we are all guilty of letting the big elephant roam around in our society. I believe the future will be quiet different from what it is today. It’s just going to take someone powerful enough to stand up and speak their mind on these very difficult issues. Money is a big factor and don’t think this doesn’t involve you or your family. Just making a short trip down the street could change your lives forever. If you cross paths with someone who is addicted to drugs or alcohol. We can and must improve these statistics; which show very clearly the problems our society and families face each day.

You may have heard of gold in Alaska or out on the west coast in California and some of the other northwest coast states in America. I can tell you the southern gold belt which runs from Virginia down through the Carolinas and into the Peach State of Georgia is still producing gold today. I have been able to find small flakes of gold in many different parts of Georgia already. I am a novice gold prospector and I have yet to find my first gold nugget. After seeing the sharp increase in gold prices over the last couple of years, I am now working hard to be a expert gold prospector.

Just a few years back, a nugget in this picture above would have went for about $300 or less. Now with gold so popular, the gold price for just one of these nuggets could easily be worth 1,200 dollars or more. It only takes an ounce to get $12 or $13 hundred dollars and since gold is so heavy, you can see it wouldn’t take many of these small nuggets in the picture to equal an ounce.

Why isn’t everyone out looking for gold? I ask that question almost daily, as I try to think of new ways to prospect for gold in my state of Georgia. I guess some people don’t have close access to a rich area of gold. I believe these people could still invest in gold related stocks or invest in some of the new gold coins; which are currently being printed, to feed the craving of gold investing appetites. Many financial experts think the price of gold will go even higher, from its healthy price it carries with it today.

I haven’t had no luck in finding those really large nuggets or a gold vein cropping out of a quartz rock. I wish I did have a good gold spot I could go to daily, to pan for these bigger flakes and nuggets of gold. I do have the streams, creeks, and rivers to myself right now. I expect that to change in the near future, if some gold prospectors do start to find some rich deposits of gold in the southern gold belt. You have to have a good eye to spot gold out in the wild, but once you know what your looking for, you will never over look another shinny rock again. I am enjoying my first year of gold fever and I hope I can find some cures for this gold fever soon. Hollywood directors for TV shows and movies can now add Amanda Bynes name back on the list for new employees to hire. This is another reason to show and prove to the world just how powerful the the social networking world has became. It was one of the most famous tweets ever and it came from an ex-actress named Amanda Bynes. She was a retired actress, but now according to her Twitter account, the young and talented Miss Bynes is now open for business again! She announced on her Twitter account, that she is ready to star in another big Hollywood blockbuster or will just take a job as a TV show actress. I guess the girl has to eat like the rest of us and she figured out she needed more money, before she could retire from acting.

Amanda Bynes Returns

If you didn’t know that Amanda Bynes had retired from acting don’t feel so bad. I wasn’t aware she had hung it up either; until I heard the news today. It’s funny it took a social networking website like Twitter to announce that Amanda Bynes has returned to acting. I’m sure a lot of new job offers will come her way. Looks go a long way in Hollywood and so does youth. Amanda Bynes combines both of those qualities and more.

It should be interesting to see where her next job will come from. If I had to guess now, I will say she will appear on a TV show as a guest appearance. This will be some quick money she can put in the bank account, so she can live high and mighty until she finds more permanent work here in the real world.

Does the Cincinnati Bengals have enough to make it to the next Super Bowl in 2011? I think they have added a very important piece to their puzzle and Bengal fans and NFL fans will have to watch these guys play. If you haven’t heard the news yet, the former San Francisco 49ers, Cowboys, Bills, Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens is headed for the Cincinnati Bengals NFL team. This is the perfect piece to add to Ochocinco or player formerly known as Chad Johnson. Most won’t agree with me, but Chad “Ocho Cinco” Johnson and Terrell Owens are two of the top 5 wide receivers in the game today. No NFL team in years or possibly ever has ever had a tandem like this on one National Football League team. Perhaps the Minnesota Vikings with Randy Moss and Cris Carter was close to the new Bengal tandem of Johnson and Owens, but that team only set the NFL scoring record in points, back in the late 1990′s. How many points can the Cincinnati Bengals put up in the 2010/2011 NFL year?

I bet  the orders for the Sunday Ticket; which can only be purchased through the DIRECTV packages , will be a hot seller in Ohio this year. Fans of the Bengals NFL team will be lining up to change their existing cable or satellite television providers, to the Direct TVsatellite packages. This is the only way to get all of the Sunday afternoon NFL games. You must have DirectTV and then you can purchase the NFL Sunday Ticket through their services. Bengal Tragedy – WR Chris Henry

It was a very sad day; when Chris Henry loss his life in a freak accident in his home state of North Carolina. It appears after an argument with his girlfriend, Chris Henry fell out of a pick up truck, which was speeding very fast. The whole Bengal organization has had to cope with the loss of this talented young receiver, who could have been the next Randy Moss by some NFL scouts notes and thoughts.

Now the Bengals have a chance to replace the talents of a young Chris Henry with an older and more veteran wide receiver in Terrell Owens. Owens who is from Georgia is one of the great football talents that the Atlanta Falcons let get away from their back yard. Not many NFL teams want to touch a player like Owens; when you factor in all the off the field comments and actions he brings. You can’t deny his talent and even his mid 30′s age is not enough to scare away the Cinncy Team and they will be rewarded for their gamble.

Terrell Owens and Chad Ocho Cinco will be the highlight film of every Sunday’s games in the NFL. These two will attract other talented free agents; which will make them a serious contender for the Super Bowl. I’m willing to pencil in the Cincinnati Bengals as my choice to represent the AFC in this year’s Super Bowl. Go ahead and laugh if you will, but no other team in the league will be able to match up with these two. Carson Palmer is one of the better passing quarterbacks in the league today and I believe he can lead this team to a Super Bowl to face off against the New Orleans Saints in the 2011 Super Bowl.

Which NFL team has two good corners with one-on-one skills to cover Ochocinco and Owens? The answer is a simple one and no NFL team has two one-on-one corners who can match up. I expect Owens to capitalize big time with his new NFL team and will probably have his best season ever; if he can stay healthy and play in all 16 games this year.

Terrell Owens is just what the doctor ordered and other NFL teams will be sorry they passed on this guy. Who cares about the celebrations and off-field conduct. Do you really think the locker room talk is what makes or breaks champions in the NFL? The game is always played and decided on the field and Terrell Owens can play the game. His talents will replace the ones this Bengal team lost with the unexpected passing of Chris Henry. I believe all other AFC teams will be looking up to the Bengals this upcoming season; as Terrell Owens and Ocho Cinco will be the hottest NFL ticket in town.

Do you see the Bengals making the playoffs this year? Fans in Ohio who currently have the cable packages at home, may want to switch to satellite before the NFL games start up. Finding tickets to the home games will be tough in Cincinnati this year. A lot of fans will have to watch the games from their living rooms, so now is the time to get your system hooked up. If I lived in the Cincinnati area, I believe I would go ahead and fork out the extra money for a giant HDTV, so I could watch my home team win on the big screen. I am seeing on the Yahoo headlines, where it seems like Axle Rose and company are planning to go back on tour? I didn’t really read much of the article, so I don’t have a lot of information to relay back. I just saw a picture of Axel Rose and knew most people know him as the front man for Guns N’ Roses or GNR. I always thought GNR was the best band ever and Axle Rose and Slash make a good team. I believe Slash is now with a group called Red Velvet Revolver or something like that? So I don’t the new GNR tour will include Slash and Axel Rose together again on stage.

Another good band that most metal heads will remember is Alice in Chains. Do you remember this popular metal group from about 15 years back that called their self Alice in Chains? They will be going on the U.S. Tour with Guns N Roses. This will be one hot ticket to get and I wonder which U.S. cities will be lucky enough to get Guns N’ Roses along with Alice and Chains to their local stage.

A member from American Idol will also be included in the super band tour which features GNR and Alice N’ Chains. Maybe you remember Daughtery from American Idol? Look for his name to be included on the ticket too and I’m sure a few Idol fans will want to go see Daughtery perform in front of a live audience. I would imagine he will open the show and then be followed up by Alice in Chains with the final performance of the night going to Axle Rose and his famous band Guns In Roses. I can’t wait to see which cities are included on the tour and if Atlanta or a city in the South get to see Guns and Roses and Alice in Chains perform live.

The generation of young folks today, who search online for music downloads, may not remember the Walkmans we use to have. The Sony Walkman was a radio/cassette player music lovers could take with them anywhere they went. They have been replaced by technology. Now the ipods are the musical devices of choice and they are much easier to use than the older generation of Walkmans. These new music gadgets allow listeners to bring a whole library of songs with them to where ever they choose to go. We often see professional athletes arriving at a major airport or unloading one by one from a team bus and just about each player on the team, will be sporting a Ipod listening device from their ear. They have to bring their music with them, just like the teen generation does today. I would like to conduct a survey and see how many teenagers know what a Walkman is? I’m willing to guess half of them could not explain what one is and it’s another sign of the technology that continues to improve our daily lives.

A whole new form of social networking is taking place before our eyes. I was a late arrival to the Facebook party online, but see the potential for business and marketing purposes for Facebook users. If you haven’t joined up with one of the most popular social networking sites online today, you really should join and begin adding your online friends, along with your family members and real life friends who belong to Facebook already.

I really like the new wave of social networking possibilities; which a new member could benefit from instantly. The only other website that is in the same league as Facebook, would have to be Twitter. I haven’t joined forces with them yet, but look forward to taking advantage of the online services and benefits they offer. I have heard about bloggers using Twitter to their advantages and I will need to be one of these folks.

Face book is a perfect way to keep in touch with buddies you use to go to school with. In just the short amount of time I have added my name into the Facebook hat, I have been accepted or confirmed by almost 100 friends! These are people I forgot that existed and it’s good to see them again. Go give it a try for the business aspects and the friendship side of things too! We never can have enough friends or money in this life and Facebook can help to achieve both.

I am an online marketer, so I understand the importance of advertising early, so you have proper placements in the search engines, when a certain time of the year does arrive. A company selling fishing lures, can’t wait until the spring to start advertising online. This is when most fishermen will buy their fishing supplies, so starting in the spring time is too late. These fishing companies that sell fishing lures, bait, sinkers, hooks, and other fishing supplies, should start their online promotions in late November. This gives the search engine bots time to recognize their fishing ads and will have them indexed properly by the time fishing season rolls around.

I know many golfers don’t want to associate their self and the game of putt putt golf in the same breath. We do have to face the facts and see putting as a crucial part to anyone’s golf game. On the PGA Tour, we often see the guys who are putting the best on Sunday, as the winner of the professional golf tournaments. All of the pros seem to hit the ball solid from their tee shot and on all of their fairway shots to the green. The part of their games that often turn out to make the most difference, are the guys on tour who can consistently make the long putts.

If I was going to buy a new putter right this minute, I would go ahead and get this Wilson Golf Putter and just order it from the computer. I realize most golfers are rich and have money to buy the best clubs, putters, bags, and balls money can buy. I am probably the poorest golfer to ever play the game. Others out there could share their putter knowledge on purchasing a new one. I really need a whole new set of golf clubs and it would be nice to get an old set donated to me. When you get ready to eat a piece of fried chicken; which part do you like best? There are 4 main parts to the chicken most of us eat. You have the drumstick, chicken breast, thigh, and the full chicken wing. Between those 4 parts; which piece would you grab first?

It seems there is some debate to which part of the bird is best. Most seem to agree what part out of those four is the their least favorite. If you could rank the pieces in order from your most favorite to your least favorite, do you know which one you would choose last on the list? Our neighborhood is known by a different name today, but many of the old timers still know what my neighborhood use to be called. I live in Owl Holler and there are no street signs or home address plaques that will carry this name. Most people only know my neighborhood by the name that is on the street sign now. From time to time, I can still find someone who recognizes the old name of Owl Holler.

I have a lot of childhood memories of my old neighborhood. It’s been a little hard for me to let go of these memories, so I still continue to live in Owl Holler today. That and plus the fact I still live at home with my parents; which makes it a lot cheaper on the wallet if you know what I mean.

I could order an address sign online with the name Owl Holler on it. It really wouldn’t serve much of a purpose. It wouldn’t help any postal workers or pizza delivery boys find my house any easier. They would only know how to find me by the official street name and number of my home and would be clueless to the name old timers gave this area many years ago.

I’m really not sure how they came up with the name. My neighborhood is in a holler, but in the 30+ years I have lived here, I could count on one hand to the number of owls I have seen here. Maybe a long time ago, there was a much bigger population of these feathered birds we refer to as owls or the common barn owl. Perhaps a series of barns were around and the population of barn owls was high in my neighborhood. We have a building on my property now we call a barn, but there are no owls making a home in it. At least none I have seen are trying to make a home in our barn.

As of today, I am one of the very few people still around which knows this area of North Georgia as Owl Holler. If I did decide to make up a few address plaques to carry the name of my old neighborhood, it would be more of a symbolic purpose than one that would serve any real meaning. I wonder if any of my current neighbors have thought about trying to bring back the old name of my neighborhood; which seems to be getting lost in history.

Webmasters create websites, splash pages, and other referral sites, so they can attract a certain customer base to the products or services they’re promoting on the Net. For those who are really talented in the web designs for marketing purposes, they can usually do pretty well in the affiliate marketing levels online. I’m not one of these folks, so I had to rely on other methods for my promotional efforts on the World Wide Web.

Using a person’s email account to introduce them to a product or service you’re promoting online can be tricky. Often times these marketers have very little luck with generating referrals and sales and they end up just generating a bunch of spam complaints. These complaints can be very serious sometimes. If it wouldn’t have been for that, I would probably be an exclusive customer of the hotmail system; which can be found under the Microsoft company.

I don’t really use emails to market any of my programs online. I just believe in leaving no stones unturned in my marketing efforts, so the thoughts of email marketing campaigns are on my mind currently. This is why I decided to blog about this subject and try to get a few ideas and suggestions from my blog readers. I have a very smart and knowledgeable crowd out there that follows my blog here and a lot of them are online marketers too. Marketing advice is never too far away from me and I like hanging out with some of my fellow marketers online.

We still have some hot days left in 2010; which has already been one of the hottest summer seasons on record. The current heat wave is a sad reminder that summer doesn’t ever last for long. At least it doesn’t seem to ever last as long as we would like it to. I have many things I wanted to accomplish this summer and have only scratched the surface so far. I plan to get out of the house on Friday and start making a dent into some of these summer time goals I had planned for this year.

Most families have taken their summer vacations already or are currently staying in a Myrtle Beach hotel this week or some other exotic beach hotel next to the ocean. I wished my family would have went to the beach this year for a vacation. I love the ocean and going to the beaches in Florida or around the Carolina coast, to a place like Myrtle Beach, is an easy travel from my North Georgia home. I have been to Myrtle Beach a few times and it never gets old. I haven’t been recently, so I need to find out about the new things in and around Myrtle Beach this year. I will say this about the families who wait until the last minute to go on their summer vacations. You can save a lot of money, by choosing a vacation week later in the season. Most families still try to go before school starts back, so usually the prices are still the same. For older adults, who don’t have or bring children with them on their summer vacations, they can wait until the school bells ring again in the fall, for them to head out on an affordable trip. Most hotels, restaurants, and other tourist spots on the itinerary will lower their prices after the school year begins. Even the Myrtle Beach best hotels will cut room prices for their guests; who make reservations for the last days of summer or during the fall season.

So some of us may have frowns now and hate to see summer coming to an end, but for those who haven’t taken their yearly vacations yet. They continue to count down the days; until they can say good bye to their bosses and leave their jobs for a week. Summer hasn’t ended yet. Now is the time to enjoy these long daylight hours and make the best of what we have left in the summer of twenty ten!

The name Jessie has been around for awhile. One of the most famous Jessie’s I can think of going back into time is the famous outlaw Jessie James. Many can remember the James Gang and all of the bank robberies they had a part in. After all the shots fired in Jessie James direction and for all the men who desperately tried to hunt him down, his journey came to an end, when a young criminal inside the Jessie James network gunned him down from behind. At least that is what many believed happen; while some think this was just a decoy and Jessie James continued to live a life away from crime and punishment.

The next Jessie was a black American athlete who dominated the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin. Jessie Owens was so good at the track and field events, the leader of Germany Adolf Hitler turned his back on the American athlete; that no one could touch in the summer of 1936. You can’t have a history of Jessie without mentioning the accomplishments of Jessie Owens in Berlin, Germany.

It would take many years later until another Jessie made their mark in my memory of Jessies. It was a future Hollywood actor on the soap opera General Hospital, who first started out in the music industry. I am talking about Rick Springfield and his early 1980′s song Jessie’s Girl. While the video only showed a few quick shots of this beautiful girl named Jessie, who was the best friend of the singer Rick Springfield. I think a lot of guys could relate to this song and there has always been another guy who had a girlfriend; which we wished we would have found first. Just like Rick Springfield’s buddy Jessie, it’s been our best friend sometimes who has found a beautiful new girlfriend and makes us very jealous. Jessie’s Girl was a great song back then and many can still sing out a few lines to this popular song from the 80′s MTV generation.

It wasn’t just Rick Springfield who knew of a famous Jessie and many can remember Bo and Luke Duke always seeking the help of their Uncle Jessie from the Dukes of Hazard. The Dukes of Hazard was so popular in Mississippi during the early 1980′s, that they had to move their Friday night high school football games to Saturday night. No one in Mississippi was attending the high school football games, because they wanted to stay home and watch the Duke Boys run from the Hazard County law. Keep in mind this was before the VCR”s or during a time they were too expensive to afford for every family. No DVR or anything else to record the Dukes of Hazard on Friday nights in Mississippi, so this is why the high school football games got moved to Saturday nights. It was a very popular show and one of the main characters on the show was the white-bearded old man who drove the white Ford pick-up truck around the dirt roads of Hazard County. Yes, it was everyone’s favorite uncle, who we all knew as Uncle Jessie.

Before Barack Obama became the first black president, it was Jessie Jackson in the mid 1980′s who came very close to being our first black president in the United States. He gave a very powerful speech at the Democratic Party and most can still remember his speech; that almost landed him a chair in the Oval Office.

Before Arnold became the governor of California, another jock loaded with muscles became the governor of Minnesota. It was Jessie Ventura from the world of wrestling entertainment, who got enough votes to be the governor of a U.S. State. Most will agree that Jessie Ventura did a good job as governor and it wasn’t just a political stunt or circus. Ventura did a good job leading the folks of Minnesota into one of the top states in America today.

While all of these Jessie’s have been men through out history that come to my memory. There have been a few females with the name Jessie. Anyone who has ever seen the show Saved By the Bell will remember Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano, the good friend to Zack Morris. Also, a lot of songs in the last 15 years or so, will use the name Jessie as a female character in a song. A 1990′s song I really like by Joshua Kadison is called Jessie and it’s a real nice song.
