Online Help with Funeral Questions

For most of us, we don’t really think that much about death. We just accept the fact it will happen to us one day. My mother works at a funeral home, so I probably hear or think about it more than most people. However, over the last two weeks it has been on my mind more than normal. Some of my close friends that I have grew up with in my neighborhood, lost their grandmother 2 weeks ago. Then just this past Saturday, a friend of mine lost her husband while he was sleeping. I had just visited their house that Friday night, but never went inside to see her or her husband. In the early morning hours of Saturday at around 3 am, she could hear him snoring. She went back to sleep and when she woke up at 8 am, he had passed away. It’s amazing how some people are here, lively, and not a bit sick and can suddenly be gone. Human life is so fragile and we usually learn this when we lose a close loved one unexpectedly.

When it comes to funeral questions, I have my mom I can ask. Asking about funerals. and cremation, can be an uncomfortable situation.

You can find a  Funeral Agent to help in the planning phase.

  • 6 Months Down and 6 To Go

This year has flown by. I can’t believe half of 2010 is already gone. I had a conversation with a person earlier today and they ask me about a specific thing I had done not too long ago. I told them it was about 6 or 7 months ago; when this happened. It turned out I was a little off and it was actually over 1 year ago. I was surprised at just how far my guess was off and then it got me to thinking about the 2010 year. Today is the last day of the first half of this year. We start July tomorrow and this Sunday will be the 4th of July for those that live in the United States and celebrate Independence Day.

I don’t have any 4th of July plans yet. A nice cookout on the grill would be a nice treat. I’m not sure how wise it would be to have a cookout at my house on the 4th. There is so many wasps, yellow jackets, bumble bees, and other buzzing pests at my house right now. Going to a park that has a bunch of big shade trees would be a better place for my 4th of July cookout.

I don’t think anyone can talk about celebrating the Fourth of July without mentioning fireworks. I guess if my family wants to travel to an area to have an early evening cookout, we better choose a place we can see the fireworks going off. I have always loved the fireworks on the 4th of July. It just wouldn’t be the Fourth without a few bright colors and loud bangs filling the night time skies.

I’m not sure if the work force in America is too happy with the 4th of July being on a weekend day this year. Most people work Monday through Friday jobs and have the weekends off. The 4th of July is a paid holiday for most people. A few companies could avoid the holiday pay this year, since it does fall on a Sunday. I use to like working on the 4th of July and getting paid double time.

For some reason, it seems summer goes down hill after the 4th of July. I guess in a way its the midway point of the summer season. It won’t be long until school starts back up, the fair comes to town, and the wind begins to blow all of the leaves off of the trees. We then get to celebrate Halloween on the last day in October. After that, we do a little voting in early November for some political turkeys and at the end of November we eat turkeys. With our stomachs still full from our Turkey Day on Thursday, we all wake up early to go shopping on Black Friday. The official first shopping day of the holiday season is that Friday after Thanksgiving. Our TV programs change to all Christmas stories and the radio stations play mostly holiday and Christmas songs. We greet good ol St. Nick on the 25th of December and eat another huge meal for our Christmas dinner. One week later we gather up the fireworks for the last time and get ready to set them off on New Year’s Eve; when the clock strikes midnight. Finally New Year’s Day is here and we welcome 2011 in with a bang; while saying good bye to 2010.

It kinda seems sad how everything just flies by. The good news is, we haven’t began the 2nd part of 2010 yet. So to limit the amount of regrets we might have on New Year’s Day 2011, we still have a full 6 months to change our futures. Yes, we have probably wasted some valuable time for the first half of 2010, but we have just as much time left to make up for it. I hope you and your family have a wonderful 2nd half of the year and you will have nothing but smiles in 2011.

  • If the nights have been a bit restless lately; it might be time for a night time change of clothing. Most men usually have one set of pajamas they wear in summer or winter time. It’s a bit different when it comes to the womens pajamas. Hopefully most of the ladies have made the switch already and aren’t still wearing long pants or long sleeve shirts during these hot summer nights.

If the men are reading this blog post right now and the woman in their life is still going to bed with those winter time pajamas, you could sure surprise her with a gift. Finding the exact size isn’t too hard for any men who want to buy women’s pajamas for their better half. You probably already have a general idea of her size of clothing and a lot of these pajamas are pretty versatile. Go a little big when in doubt. It would be much better if they were a little too big; than a little too tight. Since we all want to be as comfortable as possible when we go to bed at night.

Those really hot nights haven’t came yet, so there is still plenty of time to get your pajama shopping done. You may even be able to find a nice pair of summer pajamas online and can avoid having to do it in public. I know some people are not that comfortable shopping for under garments or night time wear in a department store. Ordering women’s pajamas online could help to avoid those public shopping fears; if you do have them. The month of June has been a little hotter than normal or at least it has seemed that way to me. The real dog days of summer are those in July and August. While there may not be much relief for these scorching days, we can help the summer nights with a cool pair of summer pajamas.

  • A lot more amateur stock brokers are out there today; thanks to the computer. It can be fun being your own broker and doing a bit of Online Trading from the comforts of your home. It can also be risky, so you do want to do your homework first. Just going through and picking out a few stocks based on their name or a gut feeling, isn’t the best way to capitalize on Wall Street. Seeking advice or knowledge from someone who knows a thing or two about the markets, is a much better approach to investing on your own.

An online website like First Trade can provide a wealth of knowledge and give an investor all the tools they need to invest in the Stock Market. They offer their customers easy access to trading online or even Mobile Trading from your phone. They are a great place to turn to for a new or experienced investor. If you don’t feel comfortable making stock picks on your own, you can rely on First Trade to be your Online Broker and take advantage of their knowledge and experience they have with dealing with the Markets.

Investors should always take a long term approach to investing. History has shown just how risky it is for investors looking to capitalize in the short term. IRA Accounts is one example of a long term investment that seeks to reward investors down the road. A lot of tax benefits or tax relief can come with an IRA investment too. It is a lot of fun to be your own broker and play Wall Street from your computer, as long as you do take some measures of caution. Stock Trading from your computer is still in the early stages and I think a lot more people will look to do their own investing from their home computers in the future.

  • Dealing with Lower Back Pain

Having to deal with a bad back is no fun and can be very painful. Over the years our backs just eventually wear out. This happens to about 80 percent of all people. I guess a lot depends on how much you use your back, on how long you got for it to wear completely out on you. I have worked several jobs over the years that involved heavy lifting or just constant lifting. I would experience back pain from time to time, but it always seemed to go away. I now work on the computer full time and I thought this would be a big break for my back pains. Not exactly!

I have found working on the computer 50 to 80 hours a week, can create its own problems with the back. The constant hunching over to get a better look at the computer screen puts a whole new kind of strain on the back. It is almost like this action is stretching the back and would seem to help it workout each day. Instead these long bending over looks at the monitor is causing a great deal of stress on my lower back and its becoming difficult to work with. I was hoping the pains would go away and I would eventually get my ailing back in shape. This hasn’t happened yet and the day to day pains have been going on for years.

If you suffer from back pains and currently have a physical job that involves a lot of lifting, you might want to think twice before moving to an office job or one that involves a lot of computer time. The leaning forward process can put just as much, if not more stress on the back and especially the lower part of the back. It seems the higher up the back pains are, the less they will affect you. It’s the bottom of the back that causes the most pains or at least that is what I have found to be true with the back pains I suffer from. I believe I need a good therapy program that can offset my daily bends. An exercise program for bad backs, where someone can balance out the daily stress they’re putting on their backs.

If you or someone you know currently has a bad back, maybe you can pass on some advice that helps them to make it from one day to the next. I know I would certainly be open for suggestions and willing to try pretty much anything, to help relieve the stress on my back pains, I get from being on the computer all day. It’s not really an option for me to rest or not be on the computer, since I do rely on my online earnings to pay the bills. I believe I could eliminate most of the pain, if I wasn’t on the computer so much each day and week. I just don’t really know of another job, that would pay as much as I earn online and relieve the stresses on my back.

  • Before you and your family head out on a long drive or prepare for the long drive to a summer vacation spot, be sure to have your brakes checked first. A new brake job really isn’t the expensive; when you compare it to the damage and safety risks you’re putting your family in with bad brakes. It doesn’t take long to see if your car, truck, or van needs any brake work done and this will help to insure you and your family have a great summer vacation this year.

Some families may be looking for a camping trip to go on, for this year’s summer vacation. Throwing the tent, a grill, coolers, and your other camping supplies in the back of your Chevrolet Silverado can add a lot of extra weight. This can cause a lot more strain on a set of bad brakes. Even if the drive is not that far and a big portion will be through old dirt roads, you still need to stop when you step on the brakes. It’s just as important to get good brakes for a camping trip with a loaded down truck, as it is for the family that will be traveling through several states to get to their vacation spot. You don’t want to stop at a Dallas auto repair on your trip this summer. It’s no fun sitting at a garage all day; when you could be relaxing at some luxury resort or on the beach. I know all too well, because I have took part in some of these family vacation trips; where the car does break down.

Do you have any horror stories to tell about traveling to or from a vacation destination? Please feel free to share what happened to you and how long it took for you to get the auto repairs fixed. I have a couple of stories I could tell and I hope I never have another breakdown again on a long trip. They do create some lasting memories, but its no fun while you’re living through it.

  • Finding Gold Gets You Wet

Even if you don’t actually go in the water, you can still get pretty wet from gold panning. We have set up a place by the river and it never fails for me to get soaking wet on these gold prospecting outings. I always like to carry my cigarettes in my front pocket. I usually will take a couple of aspirin too, in case I get a headache. On more than one occasion already, I have gotten my cigs and the aspirin wet, from the water soaking through my jeans and into my front pockets. You certainly would not want to have a cell phone nearby; while you was panning for gold. Any electronic equipment would be something you would want to keep far away from the creeks or rivers; where you were panning. I guess buying some form of iphone insurance would be the safe way to go, for those that like to hunt for gold like I do. Finding gold can be very rewarding, but it is a hard, dirty, and wet job to do. There’s just no way to find gold without getting wet or dirty, so keep this in mind before you go out seeking those big gold nuggets.

  • No Search Engine Tricks Needed

The search engines are important to all webmasters and websites. If your website is not indexed in the search engines, no one will ever find your website. It’s not that hard to get indexed and very few website owners have this problem. The hard part comes with the SEO game or search engine optimization game; that each and everyone of us have to play. This high tech game is played in the search engines for all of the search term keywords that relate to your site. Nine out of every ten people who use a search engine, never goes past the 3rd page; when trying to find something online. This makes it very important for your website to appear on the first page. For all of the search terms; which closely relates to your website.

If everyone would just focus on good, quality content for their website, the search engines will award you for it. Trying to trick the search engines is not the best way to go. Normally once someone learns a trick to achieve better search engine rankings, this advice will get passed around many times. By the time it lands in your lap and you begin to implement a search engine trick, the search engines are already aware of it and are making changes. These SEO tricks are just short term fixes and there are better ways to achieve good rankings in the 3 major search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN). Providing new content that gets updated regularly and does relate to your website’s theme, subject, or niche; will provide long term solutions to you website’s ranking. Being on the first page for a search result for 1 day or 1 week, isn’t going to amount to much with a search engine trick. Begin the journey today and follow all the steps to a search engine optimization plan, so your website will have longevity, once it does reach the first page!

  • What a difference a week makes. It was just last Thursday when NBA fans and two historic NBA cities Boston and L.A. played it out in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals. It was a well-played series for both teams, but it would be Kobe Bryant and the Lakers who would get the last laugh; as they saved their best for the 4th quarter and won the 2010 NBA title. There was no time for the Lakers and Celtics to rest; as they would have 7 days to prepare for the 2010 NBA Draft.

On Thursday June 24th the first player in the NBA Draft was officially selected and there was no surprises with the top pick. The Washington Wizards who already have one of the best scoring point guards in the NBA, wasted no time with selecting the top point guard in this year’s NBA Draft. It was the lightning fast guard from Kentucky and the consensus number 1 selection John Wall. Many of the basketball experts are calling John Wall a can’t miss prospect and is expected to do major things at the next level. Not many point guards ever get taken number 1 overall, so this does put Mr. Wall in a group of elite company. John Lucas, ErvinMagicJohnson, Allen Iverson, and Derrick Rose are the only other point guards who were selected as the top player in an NBA Draft.

I watched a ton of NBA Draft coverage and just about all of the NBA Draft preview shows and found one thing pretty interesting. No would really bothered to compare Derrick Rose with John Wall from Kentucky and now a member of the Washington Wizards basketball team. Who is the better player? Which point guard has the better hops? Who is faster? Most NBA fans have had a chance to watch the Bulls Derrick Rose play and comparing these two seemed like the most logical way to describe John Wall. No NBA analyst or reporter on TV went out on that limb to say which PG would be better next year, 3 years from now, 5 years from now, or would have the better NBA career. Many think Lebron James is going to Chicago and another free agent player and this would give Rose a chance to win some NBA titles starting next year. This isn’t true for John Wall and his team isn’t even expected to make the NBA playoffs in the next 2 years. You can still determine which player is better, without comparing the team records. No one would ever say if John Wall would match the skills and ability of a point guard who was just drafted 2 years ago and seems to match up on paper with a lot of the same skills John Wall has in his arsenal.

Since no one is brave enough to travel out on that limb and compare John Wall with Derrick Rose, I will be the first one to do so and will be on record for saying it. So you can remember where you heard it first when all of the others would not take on this important comparison. After next season, we will all have a better idea on which player is the best. If you think you have guts and don’t mind getting this question wrong, please leave your answer and reply on my blog to the player you think will be better in the NBA.

I don’t think there is no way, that John Wall from the Washington Wizards will ever live up to the skills and level of play Derrick Rose from the Chicago Bulls has already displayed in the NBA. I believe Rose is a much better player than Wall and I don’t think John Wall was a clear cut number 1 choice in this year’s draft. He may prove to be the best, but I believe many are seeing how well the Derrick Rose pick went for the Bulls and expect the same achievements for John Wall. I also think Evan Turner from Ohio State was a risky pick and I would have stayed away from him in this year’s NBA Draft. Taking Turner at 4 or 5 in the draft order would have been fine, but to believe he is better than Derrick Favors from Georgia Tech and Wesley Johnson from Syracuse is a stretch. I believe Favors and Johnson would both have been safer choices for the Philadelphia 76ers; who had the 2nd overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft.

I can only wonder how the story would have been written in the Ohio State and Michigan college basketball game, if Evan Turner fails to make that half court shot to win it for the Buckeyes basketball team. Manny Harris from Michigan played very well going down the stretch for the Wolverines basketball team. I actually thought Harris looked like the better college basketball player; when compared to Evan Turner in that game. If Turner’s shot misses and Manny Harris wins, where would he have been taken in the 2010 NBA Draft? Evan Turner got picked 2nd overall; while Manny Harris didn’t even get selected. I hope the Atlanta Hawks will invite Manny Harris in to their camp and summer league basketball team. I believe the best situation for Manny Harris would be with the Hawks in Atlanta.

Don’t get me wrong. I believe Evan Turner and John Wall are both excellent basketball players and will find starting roles in the NBA. I can see both guys having a 10 year career in the League. I just believe big men are harder to find and especially a big man like Derrick Favors who is only 18 years old and will get bigger. This guy really fills up the lane and takes up a lot of space. He will be a star in a few years and I think Washington and Philadelphia will be sorry they didn’t do their own homework and got caught up in the media hype for Turner and Wall being the best two players in this year’s draft. I don’t see John Wall being as effective as Derrick Rose, but will still be a good ball player.

The story about Wall and Turner meeting in Cinncinati to play a one on one contest for the top pick in this year’s draft would have been a big TV event and a Pay Per View goldmine, if the NBA would have chose to go in this direction. This one event would have been bigger than the actual skills these two will be given the League for the next couple of seasons. I know if Derrick Rose would have been invited to this one on one event, he would have beat them both in a one on one game.

The final conclusions on John Wall is that he will be a good player in the NBA. I believe there is some room for doubt, that he will be a great player in the National Basketball Association. Even if he does turn out to be great, I think Rose in Chicago will always be one step ahead of John Wall and the Washington Wizards.

  • Thanks to my buddy Mike Anthony for the post

I love watching the World Cup. It get’s my blood tingling and makes me wake up early everyday until it’s over. I know my favorite team will be playing tomorrow. It will be the biggest match of the world cup group stage, and the most important match for the US team these past 4 years.

On Saturday June 11, it’s going to be the biggest day for American soccer fans such as myself since 2006. The United States, take on England and Wayne Rooney. I’ll be praying, cheering, screaming and going absolutely crazy during the match against England. It will be ninety minutes of suspense, action, or torture. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this match. The English media has said “The Yanks would be easy.” The US media has paraded the idea of a possible upset. We have upset England before in the http://www.worldcupblog.org/World Cup. We could do it this year in South Africa.

The win would be absolutely huge for the US and it’s fans. The US will get three points, and another win will guarantee entry into the round of sixteen. Another benefit of the win is that it would be a huge morale boost for the team. It would boost the confidence of the team to untold levels. I watched the US friendly vs Turkey in Philadelphia and was very surprised. After falling to an Arda goal in the first half, we came back motivated and with the heart of a champion. With star players in form such as Dempsey, Donovan and Altidore, the US can wreck havoc on the English defense. Opposing teams will have a fearsome trio up top to face.

Seeing these players, players who I have seen develop to world class athlets, brings me great joy. I anticipate every US world cup match, like I anticipate my birthday. For soccer fanatics such as myself, the World Cup is the biggest event of the year. I will be watching every US match on my hd satellite tv. Go USA!

  • Every year and especially during the warm summer months, there is a lot of families that decide to have their vacations in the state of Florida. Now with the BP Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico causing problems on the Florida beaches, there may be a sharp decline into the amount of travelers that visit these beautiful Florida beaches. There will likely be an increase into the number of families that plan to visit Orlando and other places in central Florida. More families will probably go with the Disney vacation packages this year and stay away from the white sandy beaches; which Florida is known for. Not sure if Florida and other Gulf coast states will have a legal claim against the British Petroleum company and their problems with the leaking oil in the Gulf waters. It would seem that all of the western beaches in Florida and those located in the panhandle would be likely targets for tar balls washing up on the beaches. The efforts to slow down the oil spill from reaching the U.S. beaches has not gone well and lots of this oil is getting beyond the barriers. This will be a story that won’t be going away anytime soon and Florida residents and business owners will be keeping a close eye on the oil spill, as it moves closer to the coastline in Florida.

  • The current recession most of the world is facing right now is leading to more crimes. Some people can’t cut back or feel like they’re forced to commit crimes, so their families can be provided for. A lot of small businesses are the targets for thieves; who are looking to make an easy score with some fast cash. The convenience stores are always a popular target for burglars that need a little money in a short amount of time. Not too many security measures are usually found at these small stores. Most will have a video camera and a few convex mirrors inside the store for protection. These security measures are good for capturing the criminals down the road, but do little to prevent the actual robbery. If the economy doesn’t pick up soon, we could see a lot more of these types of crimes taking place. I’m sure a lot of store owners are hoping for a fast economical recovery, so they’re not in this high risk category for thieves that need to make money to live and survive on.

  • The invasion has begun and its been that way for awhile now. It’s the Asian carp and it has a big appetite. This fish can eat up to 40% of its body wait daily. These Asian carp can get to be over 4 feet long and well over 100 pounds. Many of the scientists and fishermen believe this breed of fish, which is not native to America, could cause a lot of damage in our rivers and lakes. It could easily eat up all of the food resources in the water and starve out some of the other fresh water fish that is native to North America.

This breed of carp from Asia is already present in the Mississippi River and strong measures are being taken to keep it out of the other tributaries feeding the Mighty Mississippi. The best defense in place right now is electricity. Under water walls or barriers have been put in place, so they discharge volts of electricity when the carp gets near by. These barriers are not 100% effective, but scientists hope it will cause the Asian carp to change swimming directions in most of the places, where these barriers are present.

Many are calling on higher members in the political party to help. Even going all the way to the President and asking for help from Barrack Obama. These Asian carp do pose a great danger to the fishing industry in the American fresh waters. If these carp are allowed to grow and populate in the American waterways, we could see a sharp decrease in other fish like bass. The small mouth or large mouth bass is huge for fishermen and they know it could all come to an end one day, if the Asian carp is allowed to grow and reproduce in America. If you happen to catch one of these Asian carp in the places you fish, you should kill the fish immediately. Also, report where you caught the fish to local authorities, so they can take steps to help destroy other Asian carp that may be in the area. I believe fishermen will play a big role in the prevention plan to keep these fish out of our fresh waters in the United States. It would be wise if someone would start holding fishing tournaments and reward fishermen for catching these Asian carp. A tournament for Asian carp could help control the population, if the tournament host would destroy each and every Asian carp a fishermen caught in the Asian carp tournament.

More than likely we are already fighting a losing battle to this fish. If we could just find numerous ways to slow down the growth, we could help to delay this fish from taking over in the waters our other native fish live and eat in each day. For anyone that loves to fish in America, you will want to know that the Asian carp is enemy number 1 to all of us that enjoy fishing. If you hope to take your son fishing on a beautiful Sunday afternoon one day, you need to do your part and destroy all of the Asian carp you come in contact with. The fishing life as we know it now, is in danger and more measures need to be taken to keep this Asian carp from the lakes and rivers we like to fish in.

Once the kids graduate high school, they will be looking for a good college university to attend. In many cases there may not be a college close to home and our children will have to move out for the first time and live on the college campus. It can be a bit stressful when a student has to move away from home and be on their own for the first time. While some can make this transition very easily, others find it difficult and get a little home sick in those first few weeks.

Parents can do a variety of things to help their children adjust to life on a college campus. Sending them letters frequently or making a daily phone call can really help a lot. It helps to relieve the stress when our kids can hear from home and know how things are going back in the old hometown. Another good idea parents can do for their kids is to send them one of these digital picture frames. The parents can get one of these frames and upload a variety of old and new pictures, so their kids can get a taste of home from their college dorm rooms. Be sure to take some new pictures of the family members, the home, outside in the yard, and even include a few of the family pet if you have one.

One of these digital picture frames can hold a lot of pictures. The frame will randomly rotate these pictures, so your hard working college students can sit back and watch a variety of pictures from home. These frames aren’t really that expensive either and normally you can find a sale online for one of these high tech frames. Whoever came up with the idea to create one of these digital photo albums had a really good idea. These modern frames have become very popular in the college dorm rooms. This is a great way to remind your children of home and it helps to relieve some of the tension of college life. These cool picture frames really are a great gift idea for parents to give their sons or daughters; who are away from home and living life in a college dormitory.

  • Watching the Rankings at Google

There is no rhyme or reason to the methods Google uses to determine their rankings and which sites get listed highest in their search engine. If you been watching the PR numbers to your website and hoping they would start climbing, make sure you’re doing your part to help. The first thing all webmasters should be doing is driving as much traffic to their website as possible. There is a such thing as “good” traffic and “bad” traffic, but all new website owners don’t need to concern their self with this right now. Traffic is king and you just want all traffic good or bad coming to your site now. You can go back later and tweak things up, so you can find a better source of quality traffic to drive to your site, but any traffic will do right now.

Finding new content daily or often is a key to getting those valuable Google PR numbers. You want to add new content to your website as much as possible. Also, make sure the content is related to your overall theme or the niche you have created for your website. A lot of webmasters add tons of new content when they first start their site. It’s the days, weeks, and months after that most will fail to update or bring in new content. A website that gets updated often will look better to the bots Google will send in to crawl your website. New content shows that you’re keeping up with your website and maintaining it for the World Wide Web.

The number of links leading to your website is very important too. Once you have a lot of good and unique content and a lot of daily traffic coming in, you can then begin working on those links; which will lead visitors to your website. You can trade with other webmasters and get some extra links that way. Just make sure the person you’re trading links with, does offer some content on their site that is similar to the content you have on yours. This is important for those that are seeking to get a better page rank or PR with the guys from Google.

It’s a competitive world out there in the game for PR and search engine rankings. Don’t worry about the other guys and just focus on your own website. The more you can do each day to make your site look good with fresh content, traffic, and links; the more happier you will be when Google has their paydays for paying out PR awards. Don’t give up if you don’t show signs of life with Google. It can take several months before you even make a dent to their data bases. Then it can take years to become a force in the PR numbers. Don’t expect miracles over night and work hard daily and one day you will be rewarded for all of your hard work.
