There isn’t any bad parts on a chicken. At least that is what my taste buds say. Most don’t like fried chicken livers, but I guess I am an exception to the rule. It will mostly contain gizzards, but there are some hearts in it. I love fried chicken hearts and it’s probably the best part of the chicken for me. A chicken’s heart is not big. The taste of the chicken heart is nothing like the taste of the liver. So don’t worry about chicken hearts tasting like chicken liver. You can save your chicken livers for fishing and catfish love chicken liver and save the fried chicken hearts for eating. I understand why some don’t like the taste of fried chicken livers, but I think most would love the taste of chicken hearts. The gizzards in chicken is a little tough and chewy to eat. The chicken heart is easy to eat and not a bit chewy. A fried chicken heart is a wonderful treat and I’m sure there is some great health benefits in them too.

If you search different supermarkets in your area and perhaps ask the guy working in the meat department, you should be able to track down some chicken hearts. You could also call up the chicken companies like Tyson, Seaboard Farms, Pilgrim’s Pride, or Gold Kist and ask them if you could order some chicken hearts from them. Killing chickens and eating them is common in the South. We have been known to have some good old fashion chicken dinners down here. If we get our hands on a few live chickens, we usually can kill and clean them our self. We can take an axe to their head and chop it off or just put their necks in our hand and begin shaking them until we break the neck and usually it separates from the body real easily. It might sound a litte gruesome, but it is a humane way to kill them.

The kids love to watch chickens getting prepared for the frying pan. After you do remove the head from the body, the body of the chicken can run around the yard for several minutes. If you ever heard the term “running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off“, you will know what it means, if you ever see this in person. The chicken’s muscles are still working in the body and especially the legs and wings, so after you cut the head off, you can see chicken running around and flapping it’s wings. This always amazes the kids and even the adults too! This is one way you can get the heart from a chicken, but there are more practical ways for those that do want to try fried chicken hearts. The CDC or Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia have recently been warning us of a new strain of flu that is circling the globe. Most of us know this new strain of flu as the Swine Flu. The name has been tweaked a bit and now officials and health authorities would like us to use the name H1N1 instead of swine flu. There is no dangers in eating pork and this is the main reason behind the name change for this new strain of influenza. It does appear that pigs caused this influenza to mutate, but humans can’t contract H1N1 by eating pork chops, bacon, ham, or any other pork related products.

There are some powerful drugs that doctors are prescribing right now to fight swine flu or H1N1. The big problem here has been the time it takes for some of these medicines to reach the pharmacies or the pharmacy runs out of some of the more popular flu fighting drugs. The stage is set and the 4 best college teams in football will be matched up against each other this year. The bias BCS Rankings wasn’t able to put the best 4 college football teams against each other, but the ACC and SEC did manage to accomplish what the BCS couldn’t. We are lucky as college football fans to have a championship game in the ACC and SEC so we can see good teams facing good teams. The best two teams in the country is no doubt the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide. These top two teams in the 2009 college football season will get a chance to face each other in the SEC Championship Game.

The winner of the SEC Championship Game between the Crimson Tide and the Gators will be crowned the 2009 NCAA Champions in college football. The official BCS rankings will not show this on their final results, but this is because of their bias voters and not having the ability to understand how competitive football is in the South. We see some of these undefeated teams barely beating small schools; yet they’re still ranked in the top 10 in the country. Even the Texas Longhorns are over ranked and don’t deserve a BCS bowl game this year. They have manage to squeak by weak competition and don’t deserve their bid for a title game this year. It was the middle of October when voters said Texas should finish unbeaten, since they had already faced 1 or 2 good teams on their schedule. The South offers a much tougher competition level and just look at the opponents of Florida and Alabama. Their final regular season game was against Florida State and Auburn and they had to play these two games before they face each other in the Georgia Dome for the SEC Championship Game. The Texas Longhorns or none of the other undefeated teams in the top 10 could a Auburn or Florida State and then have to play a team like Alabama or Florida to just have the chance to play in the BCS Championship Game. No question the SEC has the best two teams in the country and 2009 college football champions will be crowned in the Georgia Dome on December 5th.

The ACC will be providing the next best two teams in college football. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Clemson Tigers will square off in Tampa Bay to settle the champions from the ACC. Either one of these two teams would easily defeat TCU, Texas, Cincinnati, Boise State or even a Pac 10 Oregon team that is ranked 8th in the country for some reason. You can just look at Oregon ranked 8th to see how messed up the BCS Rankings are. Oregon has lost two games this year to Stanford and Boise State. They beat Purdue by 2 points and won against Arizona by a slim margin of 3 points. It would be a sad day for Oregon’s football team if they had to face a team like the Clemson Tigers from the ACC. Clemson would run all over Oregon and any other Pac 10 team. This is the BCS problem and the environment they have created in college football. Clemson is probably the weakest of the 4 teams playing in the SEC and ACC championship games and our weakest elite team could easily beat their most elite, not to mention the other college football teams that are over ranked.

The ACC Game is determined by the best team from the Atlantic Division which is the Clemson Tigers and the best team from the Coastal Division which is the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The 2009 ACC Championship will be held in Raymond James Stadium and this is where the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers play their home football games on Sundays in Florida.

The ACC championship game is sponsored by Dr Pepper and they will be helping provide which team is the 3rd best team in the country. The SEC will have the top two teams in college football and the loser will be the 2nd best team in the 2009 college football season. The winner of this ACC match up between the Tigers and Yellow Jackets will be 3rd in the country and the loser will be considered the 4th best team in the country. I would rank the TCU team 5th overall in the country and this would complete the top 5 teams in college football.

I don’t think 6th place and down is really that important in college football. We should know which teams make up the top 5 positions and it worked out in this order for the 2009 college football season. The BCS Rankings can’t get the top 5 teams in the country due to money from programs like USC Trojan football and the bias voters that don’t want to see an all southern BCS Championship Game; even if they’re the best two teams in the country. There will not be another game in the regular season or in a bowl game that will feature as much talent and good football players as the SEC Championship Game will have in Atlanta, Georgia on December 5th. The ACC Game will also fall on December 5th and ABC will carry this game.

What home improvement ideas have you and your family planned for this December? We don’t often think of home improvements during the holiday season and most families do this in the spring and summer months. Perhaps your family will move the furniture around, so a extra table can get put in for the Christmas dinner or extra guests will be sleeping on the floor as they visit for the holidays. A new television isn’t going to be anything that great, no matter how large it is, if you don’t have a ton of channels to choose from. It’s the TV provider that can make the biggest splash on Christmas morning and choosing Direct TV would be a smart choice for that splash this year!

Mike Woodson the coach for the Atlanta Hawks has never been accused of being the sharpest tool in the shed and you will know why after his Thanksgiving comments to the team. He asked the Atlanta Hawks players (the NBA team he coaches) to not eat turkey on Thanksgiving day; due to a chemical in the turkey that causes drowsiness. His team had a big match up on Thanksgiving night against the Orlando Magic and this was a game that the team had to win.

Well that same chemical which is called tryptophan is found in pork, chicken, and some cheeses. Doctors say if you had an empty stomach and ate a really large amount of turkey; then a little drowsiness could occur. Most people want to take that cat nap after the big meal they eat on Thanksgiving; rather than the amount of tryptophan that is found in turkey that causes drowsiness.

Charles Barkley was wondering why the fans in Atlanta was not coming out and supporting the Hawks. They are off to a hot start and have one of the best records in the NBA. However, it’s the way Mike Woodson coaches the team and his philosphy on playing players that keep the fans from attending the Hawks games. So Chuck if you want to know why the residents in Georgia don’t go to Hawks games at Philips Arena; now you know!

We don’t live in the safest of worlds these days and protecting our families is important. I was surprised how cheap it was to protect your home with a home security system. I live just inside the out-skirts of the Atlanta metropolitan area in my state of Georgia. Police did say Tiger Wood’s accident in Florida was a serious one. Later on we find out that the superstar golfer was not seriously injured in his car crash that took place two days ago at 2 AM in the morning. Golfer Tiger Woods was drifting in and out of consciousness and this would seem to be serious to me. Unless the authorities are already aware of a drug connection and the drugs were causing these effects on Tiger Woods. Since an attorney is involved, it would seem that Tiger Woods did have drugs in his system when he ran over a fire hydrant and then proceeded to hit a tree.

Busted lips are the injury reports the media is reporting right now. Police are scheduled to do an interview with Mr. Woods later today as they continue to investigate the Tiger Wood’s car crash. It seems obvious that drugs are related and Tiger does have his attorney involved already and it seems too early for an attorney this early in the investigation; unless Wood’s knows that he is facing a DUI charge of some sort. I look for this story to heat up over the coming days as the public and golf fans keep a close eye on this one. A lot of pressure and eyes are on the Florida law enforcement right now to see that celebrity status doesn’t play a part in determining Tiger Wood’s guilt or innocence.

I saw one really great sale online today. I wasn’t even trying to look for any holiday specials or a big Black Friday bargain. I saw this phone set at Buy.com that was marked down over 70%. I guess it was a special promotion for the Black Friday holiday or the big shopping day after Thanksgiving. They did have a 5 limit order on these wireless phones, so there was limits in place for online shoppers at Buy.com today.

Do you need a new phone set up in your house? I know there are a lot of popular cell phones and the features that come with them that is very popular right now. I would not be shocked if buying new phones is the top Christmas gift for this year. Kids that are 10 years old will be getting cell phones this year and I’m sure the people 80 years old and older will also be getting a new cell phone or a cell phone for the first time. This wireless phone system with Bluetooth might get over looked by the people searching for cell phones this holiday season. We are living in a phone crazed society right now and cell phone companies are leaving no stones unturned. It’s amazing at all the features you can find on a cell phone today. I don’t think the average person needs all those things and just the ability to talk on them is enough for some of us. Your phones at home have not became that sophisticated yet and I do stress the “yet” part. Just give them phone companies time and I’m sure more features will be added to the cordless phones at home. Well Black Friday has came and gone. I didn’t hear about any shopping websites down today, but I know these websites were generating some huge traffic numbers today. Most of these are shopping related and you’re probably not aware of it. Obviously it’s easy to see how printable coupons would be shopping related, but what about pizza? Lots of people spend all their energy shopping, so they don’t feel like preparing a good dinner or supper. This means the pizza delivery places come into play and lots of business on Black Friday for pizza companies and pizza owners. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, some families will already start using the stove and ovens in the house for the next day and the Wednesday before Thanksgiving is another popular day to order pizza for delivery or take out.

Black Friday is so popular that NASA had to send the Space Shuttle Atlantis back to Earth today, so the astronauts could take advantage of the shopping deals Friday. Okay, I might be reaching just a bit there, but you get my drift. I see Zhu Zhu Pets ranked 4th on the search engine searches at Yahoo. I don’t know what these pets are about, but I wonder if it’s a Christmas gift that will be popular this year? I haven’t never heard of these Zhu Zhu Pets, so please let me know some information if you know more about these types of pets.

Going to the movies is always fun during the holidays. The Internet users were searching for good movies on Black Friday; since movie reviews was ranked 7th on Yahoo’s Search Engine list. Any good movies you want to see this holiday season? I would like to watch that new movie about the end of the world. The last day of our existence is in December 2012. At least this is what the Mayan calendar is suggesting or the way we are interrupting it now. They made a movie about this and give us an example of what might happen in a little over 2 years from now. If you have seen the new movie 2012, please let me know how you liked this movie. Well I may have spoken too soon it seem as if the joist package in the house has more problems than I anticipated. I guess I should have hired a home inspector but that is something that I am quite capable of doing, its just that as I am older and not as flexible and healthy as I used to be I did not get under the house to see all the damage as I went on what I could feel beneath my feet when I walked thru the place. There was even discussion about a french drain installation because of some water that was pooling up around the foundation that could be a future problem. But I am still not angry that I didn’t do that because I still will have a good home for someone to live in and not much money involved. The housing market has really put a hurting on a lot of good people and there are bargains to be had is you do your homework, I had been looking at this property for 6 months and finally made a deal 0n it with right at $50000.00 less than what the asking price was. I will spend about 10,000 to get it in good shape and by the time the housing crunch is over I will be sitting pretty with free piece of property.

Cats are a simple pet to have and own provided that they are not prone to getting any disease. Aside from the occasional checkup and using Frontline plus cats are pretty easy for anyone to have as a pet. Some of the diseases that affect people can impact your pets like diabetes. Our wheels are everything to us and I do mean “wheels” as in our cars we drive each day. Since we spend so much time in them and they’re so valuable to us; it’s only natural we want the coolest and best car accessories we can find for them. I have a lot of friends that like to buy all the fixings for their rides and they love this type of stuff. It is as much fun to buy car accessories for them as it is to get out and install them on their automobiles. I haven’t did it as much as them but I can understand the excitement they get out of it. It’s fun to roll up your sleeves every now and then and install something that takes a few tools. It can be fun and rewarding when you fix a problem or add a new feature to your car. It can also be aggravating when things don’t go as planned. I have been on both sides of the fence and I know how these things can go. My car needs a few touch ups now and I will be looking to fix them this winter. I’m ready for the cold air as I try to fix up my ride over the next few months.
