Another hurricane season is here and this means the states on the eastern seaboard need to keep up with the Weather Channel and the same goes for the gulf states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. Actually Florida residents probably have the most concerns during hurricane season. Their state can get hit on the eastern or western side of the peninsula. They are also the first state that usually has the first chance of making contact with a hurricane. Everyone remembers Hurricane Katrina and all the damage it caused in New Orleans and surrounding areas. Florida actually seen Katrina first and they were lucky that the hurricane was not as strong then.

Everyone living in hurricane states should have their homes up to building code standards. It isn’t often that we see a hurricane making landfall on the western side of Florida, but residents living in Tampa Bay or Fort Myers should be prepared as well as their neighbors living on the east coast of Florida. A home owner in Fort Myers, Florida will want beautiful Ft Myers custom doors and shutters being seen on the outside of their home. As long as these exterior items are hurricane proof (to some degree) then it’s ok to have a nice looking home. We may have not seen the worse of the hurricanes yet and now is the time to start preparing for the future Katrina’s of the world. Most of the good food we eat in restaurants are usually in a building type structure. Anytime we think about a restaurant winning a food award, we naturally think about their location and what great food items they serve to win a food award. A recent food award was a little different and it didn’t go to the typical setting for a restaurant. This is because the award went to a New York Vendor that serves Mexican tacos. These awards were actually geared toward the vendors and gave them props for serving good food each day in New York City.

A husband and wife team that runs one of these NYC vendors was the lucky winners of the first prize that was given out Saturday at the 5th annual Vendy Awards. They mainly serve up tacos and quesadillas to their hungry customers in New York. They are very proud of their Vendy Award and it makes them feel good to know that people like their food.

The next time you find yourself in New York and you’re a little hungry; then make plans to search the streets for their Mexican taco stand. You will be able to buy most items for about 6 dollars, so it isn’t that expensive to get great food in the City of New York. We will have to wait until next year to see how their new found fame helps them at the 6th annual Vendy Awards.

I really love this time of the year as the weather begins to turn colder. We aren’t use to the cold air at first, so staying at home under a warm blanket is a nice treat for someone that has to get out in the winter time. It’s a good thing we have plenty of sports to watch on TV during the fall and winter seasons. We get to watch baseball wind down and the football season has already started and it won’t be much longer for hockey and basketball to start their games on television. If you don’t like sports; then I’m sure you would like to curl up to some good movies this winter. Now is a good time to re-watch all those movies we have in our tv stands and catch up on the new shows coming this fall. All the new episodes of our favorite TV shows come on in the fall and new television programs make their way into our living rooms; during this time of the year. The fall schedule looks really good for TV right now. I’m excited to see some of these new shows. Between the new TV programs and my favorite sports teams in action, I don’t have to go outside and can stay indoors and watch plenty of television.

Is it always smart to get an extended warranty on a product when its available? It really depends on the product and how long the regular warranty is good for. I think some products you should never buy an extended warranty and the manufacturer’s warranty in some cases offer descent ones with your purchase anyways. The more the item costs is the more you should consider getting an extended warranty. An extended warranty on a toaster is a bad idea, but if you bought an RV; then you might want to consider buying an rv extended warranty. That is the way I look or approach these extended warranties. It is a gamble either way and you usually can come up with the right answer if you weigh the worse case scenarios on both side. One side would be that your product never breaks down in the time frame of the extended warranty. The other worse case scenario would be that your product did tear up and now you have to pay for a new one or pay for the repairs. Which worse case scenario are you more willing to face? Saving money is usually a good thing, but with insurance and warranties, sometimes dishing a little money out now, can save you money down the road.

Tonight is the opening of the new stadium just outside of Dallas, Texas. The owner of the Dallas Cowboys Jerry Jones spared no expense when it came to building this new football stadium for his team and all those Cowboy football fans. The world’s largest TV or projection monitor sits high above the field and this was the center of controversy in the preseason football games in Dallas. The other team’s kickers have been kicking footballs that have hit the huge TV monitor that sits above the 50 yard line. The NFL League did ask Jerry Jones to raise the big screen up another 10 feet, but he refused to do so. Many think he refused because it is impossible to move the huge monitor in any way.

The new Dallas Football Stadium will hold over 100,000 football fans. It is expected there will be about 103,000 for tonight’s first game in the new stadium. If that many fans turn out to see the Dallas Cowboys play at home for the first time this year, they will be a part of history. This is because no other professional football games have ever had that many fans to see their game. Not even a previous Super Bowl event has ever seen 100,000 fans attend and it would appear that history will be made in Dallas, Texas tonight.

The Cowboys won’t have an easy opponent when they break-in their new football stadium. They will have Eli Manning and the New York Giants as the first opponents in the new Cowboy stadium. I’m sure Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys would have liked to get an easier opponent with their first game, but the fans should really make some noise if Dallas does well in week 2 of the NFL season. The NY Giants are a good football team and there aren’t too many NFL teams that could beat them. The Dallas Cowboys do have the talent to match up to anyone in the National Football League, but it remains to be seen if they will get a win on their first night in the new stadium.

Have you ever wanted to play a musical instrument before? I always wanted to learn how to play the guitar, but never got a chance to. I have a lot of friends that can play the guitar really well. They also have the ability to play other musical instruments and have that musical ear. I don’t have the musical ear and that can be a big problem when it comes to music. I wish I could sing because I do like to write songs, but not having that musical ear hurts me in singing too.

Now my mama and sister can play the piano. They both can take a piece of piano sheet music and can sit down and play it. I guess even the piano gene didn’t find it’s way to me, because I’m not that good on the piano either. I have heard people say that the piano is the best way to start learning music. Once you can learn how to read piano sheet music and perform it on the piano; then other instruments come much easier. I guess this is because it teaches you to read music and playing it on the piano is easier than other musical instruments.

Can you play the piano? If you were given piano sheet music of your favorite song, would you be able to play it? I am jealous of the people that can read sheet music and perform it on any musical instrument. I do love music and most people have some type of music they enjoy listening to. Music can change our moods, pump us up, or just relax us after a long, stressful day at work. They are a lot of good benefits; when it comes to music. I just wish there was an instrument I would have learn how to play; while I was younger. Not sure there is much hope for people like me that don’t have that musical ear.

Believe it or not there is a such thing as “talk like a pirate” day. It just so happens that it is today; September 19th. This is the day that everyone is encouraged to talk like a pirate. This special pirate holiday started back in 1995 and it occurrs every September 19th.

A pirate is a criminal that use to rob other ships on the high seas of all their precious cargo. We really don’t think of pirates still existing, but they do. In 2008 off the coast of Somalia there were 95 sea attacks blamed on pirates. It is believed that these pirates made around $30 million dollars in ransoms that got paid to them. We also have another modern day pirate and that is someone that steals information over the Internet and makes illegal copies of it. The baseball team Pittsburgh Pirates do not get their name from the modern day pirates and their piracy is based on the pirates of story book legends and in the past. Blackbeard and his gold is one of the most famous pirate stories and legends on the high seas. People are still searching for some of the suspected treasures that Blackbeard has believed to hidden or his ship sank to the bottom of the ocean with.

The fall season is coming and this is a good time to do some things around the house. People that like to garden can begin getting their ground ready for spring, by removing weeds and adding in fertilizers. Starting a worm bed for richer soil can begin in the fall too. We set our clocks back 1 hour in the fall and this is a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke alarms. Your fire and smoke alarms should have their batteries replaced every 6 months and doing this procedure during our “time changes” is what the safety experts suggest. If you have an air conditioner that sits in the window, you can use this time to replace or clean the filter in it. I haven’t cleaned my air conditioner filter one time this year and I know it needs it bad. The people that use indoor air cleaning systems will want to clean or replace them too. It’s not that hard to replace your humidifier filters, so no excuses here. I know you don’t want to freeze this winter, so now is a good time to start sealing up all the cracks around the windows or any spots your home may be losing heat from. Our heating bills seem to get higher every year and everyone can save their self some money by sealing up the home real tight.

In case we have an early winter, just start with your outside jobs first and then take care of the chores you have to do indoors. These people will really want to get busy, so they’re not chopping wood outside in freezing temperatures.

Breaking News! Adventures4U is a scam!

Adventures4U isn’t the first website to scam it’s members and it certainly won’t be the last. This money making website that was created by Steve Smith, may just be the worse one ever. Sure, there have been thousands of other websites that have ripped people off, but none of them did it as well as Steve Smith and his family did. All of the signs were there. Why did 61,000+ people get fooled by this website called Adventures4u.com? Perhaps it was the daily emails we got by Steve Smith that screamed this site is honest! It’s going to be around for a long time! It’s not like the other programs! So why did 61,000+ people lose their spot in this revenue sharing program?

Let’s first start with Steve Smith and his explanation. One day we get an email saying that a hacker had tried to break into Adventures 4u last night, but have no worries or fears. They didn’t succeed and no one is going to run us off. The very next day and I mean the very next day after those words were spoken; Steve Smith tells 61,000+ members that his family is receiving death threats and he will be closing the website. So 1 hacker attempt won’t shut the website down, but a couple of death threats did? If they were 2 death threats to Steve Smith and his family, he let the person or persons making those threats, out weigh the hard working and good integrity folks that numbered-out at over 61,000 members. Does it really seem logical that you would turn your back on 61,000+ members, due to a couple of online death threats? Well that is what Steve Smith was hoping you would believe.

The truth is that Steve Smith is just a sorry piece of white trash that ripped thousands of people off; due to poor math skills, technical issues with Adventures 4u, and shutting down the site when it was most convenient for him. The warning signs was all there. The message on the homepage that read “This is a Panama Business“; when all the members knew Steve Smith lived in the United States of America. These revenue sharing websites, ponzi websites, randomizers, and other websites do their best to skirt U.S. laws. It’s illegal in the USA, but apparently a website that appears to be in Panama could get away with it.

Another big clue was when members would request their entire earnings for the week; which they had the right to do. It was their money and their earnings and the option to request 100 percent of your earnings was there for the taking. You would get subtracted some Ventures for doing it, but it was allowed by Steve Smith and his family. After one particular payrun, Steve Smith sent out an email condeming these folks for taking 100 percent of their earnings and even took steps to enforce tougher penalties on your Ventures for the people that were just taking their earnings.

A common clue with scam websites is the emails that tell their members NOT to send in a support ticket about a certain thing or issue. We got several of these types of emails from Adventures 4u. Yes Steve Smith, that makes sense, if you’re a member here at Adventures 4u and don’t understand something; then please don’t send in a support ticket. An honest website with a honest admin on board would want to help each and every member they could and asking people not to send in a support ticket is just rude and shows how little Steve Smith really cared about his members.

What did Steve Smith do with our money? He spent it! He even told this through his daily emails he would send out. One week it was a “badly needed vacation” and they wouldn’t be around to answer support tickets, but don’t worry, “we rarely take trips and when we get back, we will be back at it for a long time to come“. Just a few weeks later, a new email arrives saying “don’t send in support tickets this weekend, the family is taking a weekend vacation“.

I’m not sure why Steve Smith continues to say he never missed a payrun in 10 months. In the logic he uses, he’s not missed a payrun as long as you do eventually get your money. We had a certain time our earnings would appear each week. This was at midnight server time on a Monday. Often it would be 30 minutes or 2 hours past midnight when these earnings would appear. Hey Steve, even if your 1 minute late, you missed a payrun. The few times you were days late, you missed a payrun. The time we waited 8 days to get our earnings, yep you guessed it, you missed a payrun. Steve Smith did miss payruns!

So why did Steve Smith shut things down at Adventures 4u? If he was scamming so many people out of money, why did he stop? What ended the faith of Adventures4u.com? The website was slowing down; due to the 61,000+ members. The surfing there was getting slower by the day and he had to fix the lag every member was experiencing. This was the beginning that led to the end of the scam website we know as Ad Ventures 4U.

Once the computer programmer got to working on things, the site would have to go offline and shut down. So that the bugs could be worked out. Since members didn’t have a website to login in to each day, this led to fewer members buying Ventures. When people don’t keep flooding in or spending new money in this revenue sharing program; then the earnings are just not there to pay. A lot of people knew this, but apparently the math skills of Steve Smith didn’t. This is where he learned he couldn’t pay everyone their earnings, because the site had missed too many days, and there was just no money there to give back to members, because Steve Smith and his family was spending it. It was during this time he knew he would be closing down the program, but waited a couple of weeks before doing so.

Everything was running fine and people were buying up Ventures left and right; at least this is what our emails were saying 2 weeks before the website would be shut down. Then Monday arrives and members took a 75% pay cut from their normal earnings. How could this happen? No warning signs that sales were slow and purchases were far and few between. This is because Steve Smith wanted to pocket as much money as possible. He may have even thought he could slip this 75% pay cut by us. Not a chance! People left and right wanted to know why their earnings had drop so much without no warning. In his usual unbelievable logic, Steve Smith explained this dramatic pay cut quite easily. He simply took your earnings, I repeat “YOUR EARNINGS”, and invested it into his new Trading Gold 4 Cash website. He said this was a move to secure our long term future, so without ever asking his 61,000+ members if this would be all right, he just took your money and put it in the website. Several days later we would learn that people in profit would not receive any more earnings and there would be 1 last cashout for those that were not in profit. The final cashout was another missed payrun and Steve Smith blamed the payment processor Alert Pay for this.

Anyone that has seen the Trading Gold 4 Cash website, you know this is a website you could get up for less than 100 dollars and with a year of hosting paid. You need the packets to send folks and you could spend another 100 bucks getting you started off with a good supply of these. Steve Smith took 75% of members earnings to invest it in a website that costs 200 dollars to get started? I was only 1 of the 61,000+ members at AdVentures 4u. I was pretty low on the totem pole there, but my earnings alone paid for about $22 of the new Trading Gold 4 Cash website. Steve Smith and his family probably cleared close to $100,000 on the week we all got shorted 75% of our earnings. The money spent on Ventures after that and before we received the shocking email on that Friday that the site was shutting down, I’m sure the Smith family cleared enough money that put them over the $100,000 mark in a 2 week period.

Another big rip off we see these days on the computer and on television is the Cash for Gold companies. These companies will take about $200 worth of gold and send back $5 in cash for your gold. They create one way systems; where you send in your gold, and they send you back cash. You have no chance to bargain or deny the money they send you back. Once you send in the gold, there is no way to retrieve your gold back. This is the next thing this white piece of trash has went to and no surprise that Steve Smith is now running a Cash for Gold website. These websites make awesome money for the people that run them, but they are ripping people off. Don’t help Steve Smith continue to sucker people out of their money and you will get burned in the end.

The best way to combat Steve Smith is to keep up with him and warn people about his past history. He has already sent an email saying not to ask for gold packets if you don’t plan on sending in your gold. I encourage all 61,000+ members that got ripped off at Adventures4u.com by Steve Smith and his family; that they do send in for a request packet. Don’t pay no shipping costs, because these Cash for Gold sites are suppose to send you these packets for free. It’s not a large amount of money, but these packets are a small way of making Steve Smith and his family pay for the $100,000+ he has stolen from the people that use to make up AdVentures4u.com.

These words were spoken by Steve Smith in his response to closing down the revenue share portion of Adventures4u.com. This was in an email that got sent out on 8/28/09. If he can’t control hackers, scammers, and threats; why on Earth would you want to join any website he is associated with?

There hasn’t been 1 email or even 1 sentence where Steve Smith has taken the blame for the abrupt end of AdVentures4U.com. He has only blamed others; while it was mine and your earnings that ultimately paid the price. Steve Smith is the worse of the worse and he truly is just a white piece of trash that has no business being online. I encourage all websites and TE Owners to look down on Steve Smith and recognize his scamming techniques and the shady business of Cash for Gold websites. Don’t allow his TradingGold4Cash website to be seen on your traffic exchange, blog, ptc site, or any other advertising platform. Surfers should report Adventures4u.com and TradingGold4Cash.com to the admin of these advertising platforms. They will take action once they see the level of damage Steve Smith has caused to money making websites and marketing online in general.

The famous and historic road and one of the first original highways in America was none other than Route 66. This was the mother of all highways back in the day and people would love to cruise different sections of Route 66. Most didn’t cruise the entire road, because it did go through 8 states. Route 66 began in Chicago, Illinois and would go south and gradually bend to the west until you would reach the end in Los Angeles, California.

People back then would fix up their cars or go shopping for truck accessories, so they would have the hottest ride on the cruising strip. It wasn’t just the people in trucks and cars cruising Route 66 and you would often find big rigs and groups of motorcycles showing off their rides too. This was certainly one place that you wanted the latest gadgets to add to your vehicle. It was a magical time back then and now a lot of that magic is gone.

Many sections of this historic highway are hard to find now and you can even see grass growing in some places on the Route 66 of today. It seems each state has their own opinions of how they should treat or keep up the road that was once called the Will Rogers Highway. It was the new interstate system in America that killed off Route 66. People wanted to get from point A to point B faster and the interstates offered this to travelers. It is sad to see that more isn’t being done to save America’s Main Street today. I haven’t had the chance to travel on any section of Route 66; but I do want to go cruising on it one day. Taking a journey on Route 66 is as American as baseball, apple pie, and perhaps seeing the Statue of Liberty too.

I have always wanted to have my own lake. A lake of my very own that I could stock with lots of bass and catfish and be able to go fishing anytime I wanted to. A lake that sits in the front or back yard of a home really looks good. I think the real estate agents think so too, because a home with a lake has more value than one that doesn’t. It is true that water can add a lot of value to your home. I’m not sure I will ever be able to afford my own lake or have the money to build one. Perhaps you’re in the same situation too and a lake is just too costly to build. There are more affordable solutions to this problem.

A pond isn’t quite as big as the fishing lake I would like to have in my yard, but they can be nice decoration for a home. I doubt my bass and catfish would survive in a small pond but people with ponds do usually stock Koi Fish in them.
