Have you ever seen a jukebox on sale before? Well you would have seen this one if you have gone to Buy.com recently. Ok, so it’s not really a jukebox and it is a CD player that looks like a jukebox. I think it is a cool looking CD player and most people wouldn’t know that it wasn’t a jukebox. You can choose which CD’s to put in and could create your own jukebox for home or the office.

If you did have a big jukebox at home; which songs, singers, or groups would you have on yours? I’m sure many would say Michael Jackson; since so many of his old songs are being played on the radio right now. I don’t know where to find a real jukebox or what company sells them, but it would be fun to look at them. I will have to go back to Buy.com and read more about the one they have on sale right now. This one goes for about 50 dollars and I’m sure a big jukebox would cost a lot more than that. There has been a new will to surface in the Michael Jackson case. It appears he made out a will in 2002 and awards a few members of his family and charities for any items he may have that have any value. A judge has granted his mom Kathyrn the rights to his estate and also gave her the kids too. This was before the will was discovered and now things could change a bit. I’m sure this won’t go away anytime soon and there will be lots of trips to the courts to decide on this one.

Michael Jackson was in a lot of debt and I’m sure a lot will get paid to the bills he left behind; when he suddenly passed away last week. The King of Pop is no longer with us, but all the things he left behind will be talked about a lot over the coming weeks, months, and probably years too. The first controversy will probably come from this new will that was discovered on Tuesday and it should be interesting to see how the courts go from here. I have a feeling he will still be earning tons of money after all the bills are paid and he will be like Elvis Pressley. Elvis still earns a ton of money each year and they have did a good job to preserve his legacy as the King of Rock N Roll. Can the Jackson family keep the King of Pop as popular as Elvis?

The NBA Championship might have been won in Central Florida; when the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Orlando Magic Sunday night, but the residents in L.A. took to the streets. They were all celebrating the championship of their favorite NBA basketball team, but it seems things got a little out of hand. At least 2 dozen people were arrested from the celebration that took to the streets near Staples Arena where the Lakers play basketball.

I was actually rooting for both teams to win the title this year in the NBA. I fell in love with the Magic when they were able to beat the Boston Celtics and the over rated Cleveland Cavaliers. I know LeBron James is a one man show in Cleveland and he’s a show-off too. He doesn’t care about team basketball or playing a team style game and this is why the Orlando Magic beat them. Orlando plays great team basketball and they did well against the teams from the East.

The Lakers are great because they have my favorite NBA player Kobe Bryant. Once again Kobe shows the world why he is the best player on the planet and there isn’t anyone in the NBA close to him right now. He has been given a little help out there in California now and I guess it shows with their latest NBA title. I’m glad to see Kobe win a championship without Shaquille O’Neal and every team in the NBA should be trying to get this guy on their team. That might sound like a stupid statement, but I’m being really serious. Offering 2 or 3 first round draft picks and a couple of your best players is not enough for Kobe Bryant. Even at his age now, I would trade any 3 players on my roster and throw in 7 first round draft picks, if the Lakers would give me Kobe Bryant. He’s the best basketball player the world has ever seen and I’m glad I got the chance to see him play. I am also glad I got to see the 2nd best basketball player play too and that is Michael Jordan. MJ might have had a better theatrical career than Kobe Bryant to this point with his game winning shots and consecutive championships, but there is no doubt that Kobe Bryant is a better basketball player than Michael Jordan or anyone else currently in the NBA.

When I get free time and that hasn’t been much lately, I do like to get on the golf course and hit a few balls. I’m not that great of a golfer and most of the time I have no idea where my golf balls are going. It is a fun sport and I really do like the game of golf. Since I don’t have much time to play right now, I would like to take a vacation, but not any vacation, a golfing vacation is what I had in mind. Doesn’t a golfing vacation sound fun? What is your favorite snack to munch on while watching sports on television? I know the NHL playoffs and NBA playoffs are in full swing and lots of fans have been glued to the tube watching their favorite teams play. The Detroit Red Wings are hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight and the winner of this game will be the ones skating around the ice with the Stanley Cup high above their heads. The NBA is getting ready for Game 5 on Sunday and this will take place in Florida. The Orlando Magic have only won 1 game so far in the series and it would appear that Kobe Bryant is about to win another championship with the L.A. Lakers.

All of this great sports action on television and I haven’t even mentioned baseball yet. I love spending my evenings watching the Atlanta Braves and this is my home town team. I get hungry watching these baseball games and all of my other sports too. I will eat just about anything that I can find, but was curious to what other sports junkies like to eat when they watch sports. Let me know what your favorite snacks are and maybe I can enjoy something new the next time I sit down to watch sports on television.

I guess the commercials and all the warnings we see on television about the switch to digital TV can finally take a break, because we no longer have an analog signal. I know June the 12th was our day locally when all TV stations would make the switch. I think some stations and other parts of the country may be a little different than my area, but from what I understand now, everyone is viewing a digital signal or they aren’t viewing anything on their television screens right now. Is your TV not showing a picture right now? If that is the case, you may have to buy a converter box or make the switch to Direct TV Satellite.

Your local cable company will have the digital signal already in place. For those of you that are Direct TV customers, you should be fine with the new digital signal too. The people that aren’t using satellite or cable will now be forced to make the switch or there is converter boxes that can help make the transition to digital television. They are a lot of people living in rural areas that were still using an antenna to get their TV signal and it’s no longer possible to do this. I’m sure many of these folks are unhappy and it does seem a little unfair to them.

I do love the programming that is available on satellite TV and if you are in the market for an upgrade, I would suggest going with the satellite dish. Satellite television is much better than what it use to be. You don’t need the 8 foot dish in your yard anymore and the actual dish is much smaller. It’s just a little bigger than a large pizza and doesn’t take up much room in the yard or on the roof. We did have our dish on the roof, but we decided to move it into the yard, so that trees would not be growing in it’s signal path anytime soon. You rarely lose your signal these days when bad storms move in, but you shouldn’t have your television on when the really bad storms are around anyways. Satellite Directv is better than cable in my opinion, because they offer more channels and the price is cheaper each month. I do hope your TV is currently working, but if you do need to get cable or satellite to start watching TV again, I would go with satellite as my choice.

Warm weather does bring us out of the house more and for those that like to stay in shape this means more outdoor exercising. They are risks when temperatures get too warm and everyone should stay hydrated as much as possible. Reducing your exposure to the hottest parts of the day is a good idea too. People should go jogging in the mornings and evenings and try to avoid exercising outdoors in the middle of the day. If the weather gets too warm, you may just want to try a diet pill and not exercise for that day.

I know the world of sports is very competitive these days. It’s sad to hear about a high school kid at football practice during the summer and they collapse on the field. These situations usually end bad for the school, coaches, players, and the family of the fallen football player. I know many steps have taken place in recent years to keep our kids safer at these practices that take place outdoors. More water and liquids are available now and most coaches don’t push their players as hard when the weather is hotter than normal. Let’s make this summer a safe one and if you do have to be in the heat for exercise or anything else, please try to drink as many liquids as possible and this is the best way to protect yourself.

The politics and voting is not quite the same in Iran as it is in the United States, but they do appear to be trying to have a democratic election. The voting is currently taking place in Iran and its hard to say who is winning right now. It seems both parties are claiming victory to the next person that will be the head of Iran. It seems a lot of controversy is already taking place over there and who knows how legitimate the results will be.

The current leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad seems to be in the lead by a big margin and some say that lead is with 80 percent of the votes counted. It doesn’t seem like the present day leader of Iran would be voted in for another term, since so many in Iran are unhappy with his performance. He has not did a good job for Iran and there does need to be a new leader in Iran. Perhaps a new leader would help Iran become a better nation to its neighbors and on better terms with the United States. I would like to travel to Iran someday and it just doesn’t seem like this is too possible with the current situation in Iran right now. It would be nice to open up their society more and people could start visiting Iran more that had desires of seeing this Middle Eastern nation.

I guess we will just have to wait and see how the election goes and which man will be the new leader in Iran. There does need to be a new leader there and let’s hope the votes are counted properly and the people of Iran do get the person that had the majority of votes as their new leader. I’m sure this story is long from being over and we may be hearing about the elections in Iran for months to come.

Since June has already arrived for this year, I’m sure most families have their summer vacations planned and all the reservations have already taken place. Most families ony take 1 vacation a year, so you may be booked for your limit this year. If your family takes a 2nd vacation or you plan to take a late summer vacation and no decisions have been made yet; then let me offer up a suggestion.

Williamsburg is located in the great state of Virginia and would be a great place for the whole family to enjoy. I know you probably hear the line about “the whole family to enjoy” a lot, but it really is true for this beautiful area in Virginia. The old world meets the new world here and I know the adults would enjoy the flavors of the old world better than the kids would. I’m sure the kids wouldn’t mind a little time at Busch Gardens theme park or Water Country USA water park and both of these are very close to Williamsburg, Virginia. There is great shopping available in this area and also a good choice for first class dining restaurants. I love the food places on my vacations and Williamsburg easily passes my food test, I have in place for choosing great places to visit.

Go ahead and add this to the list of possible travel destinations for this year or for the family vacation list of 2010. You can also stay at a nice resort while visiting Williamsburg and there is a Westgate in this part of Virginia. People that travel up and down the east coast of the USA to get to their travel destinations, may want to make a slight detour and spend just a day or two in Williamsburg. Virginia is a great place to take a break on a long driving trip and a chance to soak up some rich history that is found in this part of the country.
