About 50 percent of all people think they are over weight; even a higher percentage of folks that are actually over weight. We have become a society of over eating and not being active. Our elderly population is paying for it now and we can see all the harm that comes from being over weight. If you consider yourself over weight now; you should really start taking some weight loss supplements, eating less, and trying to be more active. We need to start making changes now, so we can prevent all the health issues that come from being over weight later. A few pounds here and there isn’t that bad, it’s the people that are severely over weight that needs to worry the most. I’m not sure how death is handled in your part of the world, but I can tell you how we approach things like this in the Southern United States. It’s ok to dress casual to the funeral home here. People that don’t plan to go to the funeral will sometimes put on their Sunday best; when they go to the funeral home. If you’re planning to go to the funeral; then a casual dress like blue jeans and a t-shirt is fine for visitation at the funeral home. Dressing casual to visit gives you a chance to dress nice for the actual funeral day and show your respects then. I do attend many funerals where people show up in casual clothes and I think this is fine. Your presence is more important than what you’re wearing, so never let your dress clothes keep you from attending a family or friend’s funeral. You don’t need to wear a tuxedo shirt to the funeral, but its great if you do. If you don’t plan to put on your Sunday best or don’t have them to put on, still go to the funeral to pay your respects. Just try to dig out the blue jeans you have with the least holes in them and the ones that are least faded. The nicest shirt you have in the closet will work with the jeans and any footwear is fine. It is best to go to the actual funeral in dress clothes, but no one should ever be prevented from attending, because they didn’t throw on a pair of slacks with a dress shirt. I hope this helps when you have to go to the funeral home for visitation or to your next funeral.

Doesn’t it seem like Saturday evenings and the nights were made for the best meal of the week? I think the greatest meal of the week should always happen on Saturday night. This is the night you take the family to the local steak house or a good seafood restaurant. Every family needs that one night of the week they can expect to get a really good meal. The lottery in my state of Georgia has certainly been a big help. We have a thriving budget in our educational system. This would be a fair way to help each state in the United States of America. I think there is so many good things that could come from a national lottery and I hope we have one soon. I think magic will always be a part of our culture. I know the kids love it and I like to do magic tricks with my nephews all the time. It seems our new president has a little spunk to him. He gave an evil stare to one reporter today and followed it up with some pretty stern words. I can’t recall any president in the past that has took this approach with a reporter before. President Obama is certainly carving out his own niche in the White House. I’m not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing right now. I do think we need a president that will help this struggling economy as much as possible and that is where their focus needs to be right now.

We recently moved into a new home that has a three car garage. The original thought was that our new home would be bigger and have more storage and going from a two car to a three car garage would be a nice upgrade. I would actually be able to park my car in the garage even with the kids toys, and some of my tools left in place.
